If you love animals you should visit this very humanitarian and loving sanctuary developed for orphaned, abandoned and abused donkeys and mules. It is inspiring to see these affectionate and lovable animals living in a community of care and respect. We were greeted by Laura who clearly loves her job and the wards who are entrusted to her care. These... More

We popped here because we had half an hour spare on a cold November morning and we loved it. The walkways were closed due to being wet & slippy although the member of staff did take us through one so that we could see the 2 month old fowl. The donkeys loved being stroked and the staff member was very... More

Lovely walk around the donkey sanctuary, meeting and interacting with the rescue donkeys (those who've recovered from their travails). Pleasant views over the Liscarroll countryside. Nice little shop with donkey related goods, and you can of course sponsor a donkey from, I think, €20.

We attended the open day. Brought our dod for the dog show. It is beautiful there. Donkeys everywhere. Lovely walking trails. I would recommend it to everyone.

Wonderful to see all these 'saved' donkeys! They all have names and stories that touch your heart. Not too far from N20

As a lover of Donkeys - I love to visit the Donkey Sanctuary and see how well cared for all these donkeys are - some of them have come from terrible conditions so it is great to see that have all found love and kindness for the rest of their lives - this charity deserves to be greatly supported as... What a lovely place to visit the 2 donkeys we adopted. They have a really nice place to live, looked after by friendly staff. Not the easiest of places to find but definitely worth a visit. Carrots & apples can be put in the gift box for the staff to feed them with.

What a truly amazing place this was. What the donkey Sanctuary do for donkeys in need is nothing short of remarkable. Based on a huge bit of extremely well maintained land we were told there was over 600 donkeys there. They looked so happy and content. Lovely place and don't forget to make a donation. Takes a lot to keep... More
