Arrived in Lough Key on a cruiser and headed to Woodland Segway. Hadn't booked but that was no problem. I was a bit nervous, first time on a Segway, but Colm was amazing, patient and encouraging. Spent ages getting me used to the Segway and travelled beside me until I had the confidence to go it alone. It took me back to learning to ride a bike when I was small when you suddenly realise Dad isn't holding on anymore!!! The forest is beautiful and the woodlands were bursting with bluebells and wild garlic. Hugely enjoyable tour with chat and info from Colm. Highly recommended no matter your age or fitness level.

Segway way around park & through forest, well worth doing when at lough key, 6 of us did it & everyone loved it, great fun, great way to see the whole area, top marks Connor our guide, very nice guy

We were here two years ago and when we visited Lough Key again we knew this would be a must on our list. Our party of four went for our first Woodland Glide the day after we arrived and had a ball. The day before we were leaving my younger cousin's mother and sister joined us for our second glide. We thoroughly enjoyed every second on the Segways and will be back next year without a doubt. Colm is an absolute gent and a was pleasure to meet.

At only 25 Euro per person for an hour experience of travelling around some of the wonderful area around lough key the segway experience comes highly recommended from this traveller and his family.
I thought that the segway would be quite a difficult thing to master but after some great tutorial from friendly Colm, the simple controls were soon mastered and we were on our way.
This really is a fun and great way to get around the area, plus you cover so much more ground more quickly and saves those legs for another day. I would really recommend this, enjoy.

What can I say ... I was nervous to start but once you get used to it what an amazing thing to do. Colm the instructor was thorough and very friendly in deed. I would most definitely come back to this here again. Also what a fabulous place to do it.

We had a blast. The weather was a little drizzly, but decided to Segway all the same. We are so glad we did (it cleared shortly after we began). Owner was so nice to let us tour, as it was late in the day. The grounds/forest are beautiful. Lots of fun, wheeling around. David, our guide, was awesome. He provided lots of information and history about Lough Key and grounds and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable.

After a training period on the grass we were segwaying around the forest for approximately 50mins, what an amazing experience, such good fun! Children must be 12 and over and prebook if possible as this gets busy! Great!!

A very enjoyable trip on the segway through the forest. Was nervous before hand as never been on a segway. However was given ample training before hand and the instructor was very good and patient. Well worth while activity.

We rented segways on a visit to Lough Key and it was great fun. My girls of 11 and 13 took to it immediately and although my husband and I took a little longer to find our balance (there was much laughter from the girls!) within 10 minutes we were zooming off round the forest with Colm. He was fantastic, just the right amount of training and encouragement and his tour of the forest park was great. It was freezing but Colm had us kitted out with gloves and helmets and helped distract us from the cold with his info on the Lough and the grounds. My girls loved it and they were certainly more interested in the flora and fauna Colm told us about than if I'd made them walk round the forest!

Had a great time on the Segway. Great way to see the park. Staff went through all the training, which made me feel very safe.

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Yes it is advisable to book in advance. We are now in the off peak season and our office at Lough Key will be open at weekends. We require a minimum of four people for a tour to go ahead. If you want to book for four or more people we can take you on a tour at the weekend or midweek. You can book on line or by calling us on 087 2152335.
