Wow!! The moment you step inside, you are catapulted back in time. This is the real Ireland tourists look for!! The two sisters give you a genuine traditional Irish experience as they sit chatting to their customers, telling stories of years gone by. As an Irish person, I can tell you this experience is a little glimpse of an Ireland of old. It's such a pity we are starting to lose this incredible part of our culture. What amazingly kind-hearted and warm women - no tv, no music, just the calming sound of people chatting and the best Guinness around! Definitely put this place on your list as a must-visit!

We were recommended to head to Brennan’s and so glad we did. We remembered the pub from the recent TV ad and the pub was as expected. Lots of old memorabilia and pub untouched for years and years. Everyone welcomed and chats started in the bar and strangers joining in - perfect end to an evening

Having watched The Irish Pub on Netflix, my friends and I were determined to visit Brennan's Pub in Bundoran. We were not disappointed. As we knew, there's no music, no singing, no cursing and no TV. It's a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a great conversation. We were saddened to learn that one of the sister's, Nan had passed away a short time before we visited. We did meet Patricia and she still runs the Pub. Such a wonderful person who was most gracious to my golfing buddies and me. I was impressed when we asked who changes the kegs for you and she replied, "I do it!!" I see kids in America who want help doing it! Anyway, stop in and visit this great pub in Bundoran. One thing to remember, Patricia doesn't open up the Pub until 6pm. (at least during the week, I'm not sure about the weekend). It's worth a visit to meet this woman who by the way pours an outstanding pint!!

as announced in the local newspaper, Nan Brennan, one of the sweet elderly ladies who ran the Criterion Bar, passed away mid August. So sad. Deepest sympathy to her sister Patricia and family.

This pub is different from others pubs. I recommend anyone to try it out, might not be your cup of tea, but I think most people will find this charming and different. I love music, but I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere without music and noisy tv. I drank my pint of Guinnes and read my book. Good mix between tourists and locals.

Loved the old cute lady behind the counter, she´s one of the sisters running it.

It´s great that there are pubs who dare to be different from the rest.

Very good Guiness by the way, think I´ve seen others mention that as well.

So... Saw a Netflix movie on Irish pubs and Brennan's was in it. Was in Northern Ireland / Republic of Ireland for 5 days and wanted to go here. It was out of the way for me but it was well worth it. Had a pour of Guinness and it was the best pint had all trip. Not saying I stopped in every pub for a taste but from Bushmills to Doolin to Killarney to Waterford to Dublin... it was the best I had!

Patrons were friendly and I even got to meet a war hero :^)

Highly recommend if you're in town.

Nice old pub. Guinness is €4.30 a pint. Worth a visit if you are going to be nearby. Found out about the place from watching the film “ The Irish Pub.”
