Beautiful town centre pub with relaxed atmosphere during the week but can be packed at the weekend. Saturday night session is always lively and great craic with a mix of locals and visitors. Very welcoming staff behind the bar and good pints of Guinness.

Nipped in for a Guinness or three with my lads and 'Uncle' Martin Boyd whilst the ladies were shopping in Pennys. Great traditional Irish pub with some fantastic photos of the past and present of sporting memories. Great aray of Beers and Spirits and of course the Guinness was spot on. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful, old school pub with regular trad sessions and a mix of regulars and visitors. Lovely atmosphere and traditional settings. Good selection of Irish whiskeys including a few local brands. Sad to see its doors shut due to covid but better times will come - and hopefully soon.

This pub had a live Traditional Irish session happening when I was there I have been told it is on every Saturday night from 10. The staff and locals were extremely friendly and the music and sing song was great. I enjoyed my experience here and will return.

Rouse's Bar is located at 53 Pearse Street, Ballina Co Mayo Ireland. It's the type of old world family pub that's become a rarity in Ireland. The pub has been in the Rouse Family since 1946 and it has existed as a pub since 1865 making it probably one of the oldest pubs in Ballina. It is well known in the town as a pub whose patrons are dedicated to horse racing, angling and Gaelic football. The pub also hots live music and it's a nice place to drop into as they host sessions of traditional Irish music. It's a friendly and hospitable venue with a friendly staff.

Visited Rouses bar today on a family visit . What a fabulous bar . Old style , spotless and such a friendly welcome. Pat is a gentleman who has time for all his customers young and old . Great stories and memories from the old days . Will definitely return on my next visit .

Lots of bars could learn from Pat regarding customer service .

Went into this bar as was recommended but people in locality. Wasn't disappointed.. Quaint bar was quiet while we were there but can imagine atmosphere at weekends. The young lady who has taken over from her Dad in the family business is doing a mighty job!
