Lovely and well kept park. Lots of climbing frames, slides & playground equipment including see saws & a zip line. There’s also a ping pong table, tennis court, basketball court & goals for soccer. Only downside is there’s no toilet facilities on site.

Playground, tennis courts, football/basketball court and great potential for picnic with view of the River Moy mean this is a good spot for families. You could stop off and be within 10mins walk of Ballina town centre. I'd give it 5 stars if I could guarentee good weather!

This is a fantastic park for kids of all ages, and is situated alongside the River Moy, really handy for the town of Ballina, with easy access and parking. It’s got enough quality equipment to keep everyone interested for at least an hour. Hard to imagine that this site was once a rubbish tip, so the expenditure on converting it into a park/playground was money well spent.

Stayed in Ballina for a few days and visited the park with my daughters everyday. It's in a great location and has something for everyone from swings and slides to ziplines table tennis, tennis courts and 5 aside pitches. A great wee park

Decided to take my 2 year old grandchild to the Tom Ruane park on a Sunday afternoon. This park has everything you could ask for with climbing gadgets swings sandpit and many more. It's so long since I had done this I felt like a child myself. The park is on the banks of the famous river Moy in Ballina and is just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. It's fenced in on all sides and has picnic tables and a green area. There are also Tennis courts beside it which are used for football and basketball also. It's a safe place and I only wish I had this when I was a child. It's great to see families enjoying the outdoors. This is one amenity Ballina is very proud of.

A great space where kids of all ages can enjoy themselves. On the banks of the Moy. Strange to think that it used to be a rubbish dump with only sea gulls having fun in there!!!

If you are a family with kids who want to spend a few hours in fresh air, on brilliant playground equipment in superbly maintained areas, then visit this park and you won't be dissappointed. Toilets and picnic facilities available. A great safe free amenity.
