OK so not all shopkeepers are filled with the Milk of Human Kindness ;-) but if you own a Cheese Shop, you might try to be a bit friendlier. The owner was quite chatty with the two gents who preceded us, but my husband & I seemed to irritate him when we asked about the differences in taste. So no samples were offered, just descriptives. I will say that's a first.( I recall Murray's in NYC, where the folks seem eager to offer samples in order to help you decide what to buy. ) Frankly, would've bought more had it not seemed like he couldn't wait to get rid of us. Oh well. I overheard him tell the previous gents that he was a Chef by trade. Maybe go back to the kitchen, where you don't have to deal with people directly ?

Can you please transport me back to this dreamy shop?! Incredible selection of local cheeses. We traveled throughout Ireland, and these cheeses were the best! Can't go wrong. Patient woman walked us through our cheese questions and had wonderful stories. Reasonably priced for top-notch quality cheese. We hope to return!
