When I'm travelling to a place like Ireland, I want to go where the locals go, not just where I'm going to see a bunch of idiots with my accent. The keeper of my B&B suggested among other places Dick Mack's. I went there before dinner and the locals were suggesting I have a Guiness. I figured, it'd be fun... More

We were looking for a bar to have a quick drink in before dinner. We picked this one, but to be honest it felt like we were in a place designed for the American tourist market. Wouldn't be top of my list to visit on our next trip to Dingle.

If you want the real Irish pub experience, Dick Macks is THE place to be. Especially if you go in the afternoon because it isn't that busy and you have a great chance to mingle with the locals and receive great information about the local area and surrounding. Also, very important, they serve a great pint of Guinness.

We had probably walked by this place a dozen times before realizing it was a bar at night. We loved hanging out and meeting the locals and the bartenders with such vibrant personalities. We ended up staying the whole night and making friends for a lifetime, upon visiting Ireland again, especially Dingle, this will be one of our first stops.

The servers were great but we must have been here on an off day, or too early, or it was the crappy rain. Even a local walking through when we were there said 'It's really subdued". When we walked in there were lots of tourists sitting holding an obligatory beer, looking wet and unhappy. Interesting pub with some different small... More

I have been in this pub too many time to tell the tale of my favourite time, perhaps the day eurospar brought a massive plastic cow into the middle of the floor. Or the day that Sean O T played a vinyl set out the back when the sun was splitting stones. There are so many things about this pub... More

There seemed to be many rooms to this place. We were in what I think is the main bar room. The wall is line with various Irish Whiskeys. We had no idea there were so many - more than 100. There's a long menu to choose from and the bartender will help too. They only serve Irish Whiskey and beer.... More

We had so much fun here stippling in each night after dinner during on our stay in Dingle! Bartender was lovely patrons were fun. Met some of the most fascinating people ranging from locals to Irish visiting to people from around the world. There's nothing fancy here at just Dick Mack's but full of friends you've never met. Great to... More

We stopped in here to get some advice on what type of Whiskey to bring back as a gift. We were educated by the owner and he had quite the selection to choose from. He knew everything about each of the whiskies he stocked. How they were produced and where they were made, who owns who and so on. We... More
