OMG....This was the highlight of our trip to Ireland....learning to surf in Ireland. The staff was amazing...They provide everything (wetsuit, booties, board and instruction). Keep in mind the swells/waves are small which is actually great to learn. The staff was engaging and they didn't skip a beat. A MUST IN DINGLE!!!!!! I would post a pic, but wetsuits aren't flattering on a 41 year old mother....

I recently went on a girls weekend to Dingle, surfing was definitely one of the highlights. Our instructor Ben put us right at ease from the start and even though most of us were first timers we managed to get standing on the boards, great fun, such a laugh. I would highly recommend going surfing with Finn McCool’s.

Our daughters, ages 9 and 12, really enjoyed their first time on surfboards during our stay in Dingle. The lessons included wetsuits, a ride to the beach, safety instructions, riding tips and we were emailed photos the following day. My husband and I enjoyed a few child free hours of strolling around Dingle.

Myself and 3 friends booked in for a surf class recently when we were in Dingle for the weekend - it was so much fun! Ben collected us in Dingle and brought us out to Kilcummin beach - was the perfect way to spend a morning; washing away the cobwebs from the night before!! Ben was great really helpful! Would recommend the Finn McCool surf school to everyone - we'll be back next year for sure!!!

My husband and I were in Dingle for the day and happened to walk by the surf shop. Being from San Diego we were surprised to find it and thought we'd pop in and take a look around. My husband is a former surfer and our older son is an avid surfer so we are not novices to surfing. We tried making conversation with the young man behind the counter about the surf conditions and surfing in Ireland but he was clearly annoyed to be speaking with us and was pretty rude. There won't be many sales at the shop with this guy behind the counter. I would have rated the shop "terrible" but the inventory looked good.

Jeez, sorry Mary. You must have caught me on a bad day. But thanks for calling me young and liking the inventory I guess!
Good waves

Took an afternoon group lesson. Very relaxed instructors who show you the basics and then let you try. Very forgiving sandy shore break. We lucked out and it was a warm sunny day, but they do give you wet suits as well. If you are anything above a beginner you may want to look for a different surf spot, but if you want to have a go at surfing for a few hours this is the place.

We found Dingle Surf on Trip Advisor and saw the already glowing reviews. Of our party of four, two had surfed previously, and two were complete novices. Ben, the instructor, catered for all of us, refreshing the skills of the 'seasoned-pros', while introducing the beginners to the world of surfing, starting with the very (very) basics.
The two 'noobs' progressed swimmingly under the guidance of Ben, picking up the techniques quickly making the whole experience very enjoyable. The remaining two water-going-wonders further honed their skills, helping them move on to the next steps of turning and carving up waves way ahead of schedule.
With Ben's newly trained noobs now competent in standing on a surfboard whilst looking deadly cool, they left the experience full of confidence, ready to take on whatever Davy Jones' Locker could throw at them.
Kelly Slater's now adopted surfing kin went on to book a further season of surf the following morning, to prepare the, selves for the upcoming Brandon Bay Classic, which brings together the best surfing legends in the area in this bi-annual event.
Anyone looking to master the waves won't go wrong under the watchful watery wings of Ben and the Dingle Surf School.
Hang lose.

We stopped at the surf shop and bought 6 tee shirts for my husband and grandsons. One of the shirts had a tear in the fabric. We emailed the surf shop and within days had a replacement shirt. That is great customer service. We'll be back!
