The brewery is based the old creamery building on Spa Rd.,Dingle. Opened in 1888 the creamery became the economic epicenter of the Dingle Peninsula and was a vital commercial center for the area, especially after 1916 and the following troubled years which had left the economy, especially agriculture, in a perilous state. The owners of Dingle Brewing Co., have been mindful of the place that this building has in the history of the area and have lovingly restored it, retaining its charm and character. By running the brewery and also offering tours to the general public and tourist market the Dingle Brewing Co. hope to restore the level of importance which this building had previously enjoyed and make it an essential part of the Dingle experience as well as providing employment for people in the town. As well as offering tours they will be producing ‘Tom Crean’s’ Premium Irish Lager’, the first pint of which will be poured, quite fittingly, in the South Pole Pub, Annascaul, Co. Kerry. The very pub, which the great man Tom Crean ran after retiring from his Antarctic expeditions. The lager will be available initially in selected osupplied as demand dictates. The Dingle Brewing Co. is aiming to rejuvenate the unique atmosphere of socialising in an Irish pub by producing a premium Irish lager which will appeal to both the public and the publican alike and provide a focal point for friends to get together, enjoying that unique atmosphere, each others company and a pint or a glass of ‘Crean’s’

The self guided tour isn't much in itself, but the story of Tom Crean after whom the beer is named is quite interesting. Stopped here one afternoon for a couple of beers (they only make one) and had a nice break in the day. Worth a quick visit if you are in the area.

Found this brew pub at the end of the rainbow! We walked 7km down from the top of the pass where are driver dropped us off and after 1 1/2 hours this was the first pub we came to! Perfect timing!

The Dingle Brewery Company is located a short walk from the town centre and features a free, self guiding tour around the surprisingly small premises. Whether you're a novice or a bit more of a craft beer connoisseur you're sure to find this interesting, and the beer on tap is a tasty tipple with which to reward yourself for both... More

Fantastic chat with James behind the bar before and after the tour. Really nice looking brewery with loads of great insights into Tom Crean, the highlight though is the Lager - Amazing!!!

This historic brewery dates back to 1888 The tour was short and informative the photos beyond interesting. At the end of the tour we sampled the amazingly creamy Tom Creans Lager. (Named to honor local hero). The pubs in Boston selling this amazing beer were listed on a sign at the brewery. While in Boston I will stop by one... More

Worth checking out if you're in Dingle. Nice tour available and one great beer on tap. Lots of tourist info on site and books about Tom Crean and The Boss. It'd be nice if they'd had T shirts in sizes other than small though. The barman was a wealth of information about the area too.

We stopped in for a quick pint which was quite good. Did the self guided tour and read all the interesting facts about how been has been brewed. My son actually really liked the beer and bought some to bring home. Tom Crean was who the beer was named after. Very nice informative gentleman works there.

Its an old creamery converted to a new craft beer house . The tour will take you 8 minutes 10 if you look at every photo . But the beer is lovely so you are really buying a pint and getting a little knowledge thrown in. But the beer is really nice and crisp and well worth getting a few... More

Being fans of craft brews we HAD to visit the Dingle Brewery/Distillery. The staff was cheerful, fun and knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a good experience. Besides falling in love with Ireland in general, we truly fell in love with this beer. The distillery also makes darn good gin. The whiskey wasn't ready (aged) yet, so we just may... More

Self guided tour was interesting, but you are really just paying for a pint of their lager. The beer itself is decent, but has a noticeable diacetyl character (imitation butter). The beer tasted better at brewery than on tap in pubs around the country, and these guys only brew one beer. If you are a traveler interested in learning about... More
