You will see from my past reviews I LOVE aquariums. Dingle Oceanworld did not disappoint. Yes, it is on the smaller side and from the front looks tiny, but once inside it is larger than it appears from the street. I love the fact that they source their water from Dingle Bay across the street. More importantly the exhibits are clean and so well kept. We were fortunate to arrive in time for the shark and turtle feeding and were educated by dear Michele who talked us through the history of the inhabitants (some rescued) . Definitely a kid friendly exhibit. Make sure to visit the outdoor penguins as well as the butterfly room. Approx $20 (16 Euro) for adults. Remember this helps them run their rehab programs as well as pay staff.

Second time to visit this aquarium.. It was small but enjoyable. Bit of a mixed bag as there are lots of reptiles too and others. Penguins were great though. Only took about an hour. My only note would be that as they had time slots for booking, lots of people arrived in together at the alloted time therefore were indoors trying to see all the same things at the same time. Felt a bit nervous having that many people around me on an enclosed space during a pandemic. We let people move on and it was fine but it was our choice to do that. Would have been good if they staggered groups.

Kids and adults alike really enjoyed our trip to the Aquarium, with the glowing jellyfish and the rays in the touch pool being the biggest hits. It's mainly indoors so ideal for those wet days in Dingle, and the little activity box they give out is good for a bit of take-home activity too. We easily got two hours enjoyment out of it.
We visited during the Covid restrictions so the butterfly enclosure was not open and pre-booking essential. The staff were very friendly and informative and didn't make us feel unwelcome even when they needed to remind people to distance.

Huge price for a tiny aquarium. Smells like you are inside a fish market especially near penguins and people include myself were running away from there. Poorly hygenic with no hand sanitizers inside though they had some hand washing options after touching some fishes, even under COVID threat. The butterflies were nice and that was the only interesting one for us. No staffs were found inside to walk through or even ask questions. No activities or performances as well except some recorded videos played. Finished the viewing within 15-20 minutes. I would never recommend this aquarium for anyone especially for €16.

We unexpectedly stopped at Dingle Oceanworld on a cold and rainy day. It was the perfect attraction for our three small children (ages 1, 5, and 7). Everyone was very welcoming and kind, especially Liam, an animal keeper who spent a long time with us, sharing interesting facts and stories about several of the animals there. It was definitely worth a visit!

We had a couple of hours at the Aquarium, and it was really interesting. A younger family member was looking for clues and answering a questionnaire, whilst we all looked at the brightly coloured fish and other sealife. I personally loved the Turtles and Penguins, and the staff were really informative, loved it.

The aquarium is very nice with some lovely creatures and fish to see however my experience was spoiled before it even really started. I entered with my partner, she was wearing a face mask and I was wearing a thick scarf over my mouth and nose. I was stopped, after entering and told I couldn’t go in without a face mask. I pointed out that I had a face covering (scarf) but the lady said “you can still breath through it!) lol I can’t stop breathing. Then she told me to wait while she found a face mask which I put on and went inside. The whole thing was quite embarrassing and unnecessary. Maybe they should change their guidance on the tickets to “face masks only” instead of face coverings which was on my ticket.

Let me start by saying that the staff are wonderful and so friendly, they are a big plus! They were working very hard and constantly cleaning. However it was over €50 for our family and it was about 30 minutes walking through it. I felt it was very expensive for that. The sharks were the highlight for the kids but we only got a few minutes there as people queuing behind us and you feel under pressure to move on. I understand this is due to Covid however price should be reduced significantly to reflect this.
There is a great display on plastic pollution in the ocean but then you get to the gift shop and it’s full of over priced plastic tack, which completely defeats the message trying to be given.
The penguins look so sad, their enclosure is so small with painted on drawings of ice etc... it reminded my son of happy feet 2 and not the good part. It made us feel guilty, that they shouldn’t be there and that we shouldn’t have visited.

Visited today and I have to say it was such a lovely experience. Staff were so nice to our toddler and well set up with covid precautions. A one way system was in operation. Everyone was asked to wear a mask and sanitise upon entry. I've been to the aquarium in Bray and this one has far more to see and a better layout. Thanks for a fantastic morning and compliments to all the staff we met this morning. They were so pleasant and friendly.

If. I remember correctly the price was 13 euros but I think there is a family ticket and slightly less for OAP's.
