If I would omit something off my time in Kenmare, I guess this would be it. Location is right next to some construction site and other houses.

A quiet location and good for a little meditation while taking some time out from a busy activity based holiday. Only a short walk from the tourist office and close to the Cromwell Bridge. It's not Stonehenge, but it's a lot easier to get to and quieter as well!

We had read about the Stone Circle in Kenmore and decided to walk the few blocks from the downtown area to visit. It is very interesting - the last stone structure I visited was Stonehenge 20 years ago, so having the time to explore without crowds or roped off areas was nice. We enjoyed the view and the history. There... More

Very interesting, not crowded stone circle. Leave a small payment in a honest box. Almost in the middle of town, just ask how to get there.

Easy to get to and an interesting site. 2 Euros per person. We were the only people there, so it was fun to have the place to ourselves.

Pleasantly surprised that we arrived only to find one other family- this doesn't happen often around the area mid-August! Honesty box asking for €2 on arrival which is used for upkeep. Plaque with info there. Stone circle and surrounds are well kept and there is a sweet wishing tree on site- bring a paper and pen!

This 3,000 year old stone circle is the biggest in south-west Ireland. It is just a short walk from town with very well marked signs that make it easy to find. Definitely an attraction you must experience while in Kenmare.

This site is just a couple of blocks off the main road, with well-marked signs to get there. It cost 2 Euros to get in (honour system). As advertised, there are stones, in a circle. Some information is provided about the history and significance of this site. There are also some nice trees, bushes and hedges to admire, along with... More

Found this gem of a place while on a self guided tour. The scene is excellent and gives a look back over three thousand years. We were awestruck and highly recommend a visit.

This stone circle is a short walk from the center of town. Perfect for an after dinner stroll. Interesting history.
