A beautiful spot to see Harbour Bridge

This is another great spot for a walk and enjoy the view of Sydney CBD and Harbour bridge. We went there on Saturday morning after breakfast and it was really nice.

Nice place for a walk through carefully cultivated wilderness. Many trails and a few nice views of the harbor and the bridge. Included in the park is Coal Loader area where the coal ships... used to be loaded. A few structures from the coal loading days are still around but you can see the rundown pier and a few of... Balls head is an amazing place to visit so much history and it is hard to believe you are in the heart of Sydney. Beautiful bush setting with amazing harbour views. It gives you a real time experience of how things once where 200 hundred years ago. There are amazing Aboriginal sites, Caves and also in more recent times left... More

Id suggest to walk from Waverton Train Station. Its a scenic but a bit steep walk along a good path to Balls Head. Highly recommend stopping at the old Coal Loader Wharf. There are some great lookout spots of the Harbour and Bays. Some Aboriginal Rock Engravings, picnic spots, toilets and a café at the Sustainability Centre. A great way... More

A round trip walk from home to Balls Head takes 45 minutes and in the summer months, it is my morning exercise before work. I love seeing the sunrise from Balls Head and feeling the nature of the flora and fauna in the reserve. As the sun rises, you see the glistening, silver cobwebs in the trees, the spiders fanning... There is plenty of parking and the view of the Bridge and Harbour are fantastic. A photographer's delight. A short walk through the bush and the beauty of the Harbour just opens up for the camera.

The walk at the end of Balls Head Rd is fabulous. Drive all the way around to the top car park if you are unable to do a long slightly inclined walk. Its the best view there anyhow and still a nice walk around. Look back to Lavender Bay and See Opera House, Bridge, Darling harbour and Barangaroo. Toilet ammenities... More

From Waverton Station, a quaint little station in itself, enjoy a walk down a sleepy suburb and then walk into the bush to Balls Head. Discover some Aboriginal rock engravings, see a small cave where one can picture what life might have been like before the English came. There is a place to BBQ, and it is possible to park... More

Great little bushwalk opportunity affording glimpses over the majesty of Sydney harbour. Can be reached by car with ample parking and free bbq areas available.Lovely old red gums and a bit of history in proximity showing what Sydney harbour once was like.

One morning I had planned to go for a bit of a walk around the harbour, and somehow found myself here. I have to say that I am really glad that I did. One thing that I discovered that that while the south shore tends to have a lot of manufactured parks, the parks on the north shore tend to... More
