This has always been one of my favourite places to come to walk, to read, to draw or just sit and look at the views. It is even better now that it connects via a bush track to The Coalloader.

Worth the trip to enjoy the natural environment. The view alone is worth the effort but the wild habitat exceeds expectations.

You keep walking. The roads are all properly signed. I think the way we walked through the coal loader is the best way. So the signs lead you to the coal loader. And as we go through the coal loader we reach a place where...More

One of the jewels of Sydney Harbour. Enter if possible from the tunnel at the old coal loader then follow the paths through classic bush to a few picnic spots with great views of the harbour and city (one is so accessible from the car...More

I take my 95yr old mother to this reserve occasionally, just to sit in the bush and look at the harbour and the city beyond. During the week it is very quiet, but a great place for walking, picnicing etc.

This is a nice quiet spot on Sydney Harbour with a lovely view. The area has picnic tables and barbecues and taps with cold water. Keep an eye on the birds though - they love barbecues too!! Plenty of parking close to facilities.

Easy hike/walk, for all levels. Venture onto some of the paths less travelled and find the rocks that the fishermen fish off of and you'll see the BEST views of the Bridge and Opera House.

Sorry, I didn't notice a bbq area, but most of the site has water views.
