    Really good chocolate factory tour
Really interesting place for a short visit. Great tour with a guide to explain how chocolate is produced and its history on the island. Able to sample chocolate at the end of the tour and purchase some in the shop. Definitely worth a visit.

Uncommercialised chocolate factory well worth a visit
We really enjoyed our visit to the Jouvay Chocolate factory. We sampled some chocolate first at the shop and then we did the tour which lasted around 15 minutes. We were in a small group and shown all the processes. We also visited the Belmont Estate which we liked. It is worth visiting both as they are quite different. Jouvay chocolate factory is a lot smaller than Belmont and less commercialised.

Jouvay's Diamond Chocolate Factory & Taste Tour
As one would expect, we're grateful for the gracious & hardworking tour staff and eternally grateful for the tasting tour which resulted in the purchase of over 50 varying chocolate bars! Not one melted & we'll be snacking on them until we return back to beautiful Grenada in the very near future! Yes... we did share with everybody back home.

We visited this location as part of a tour. We were sold an opportunity to visit a working chocolate production experience. What we received was a visit to their store. No tour. We were shown what the inside of a chocolate plant looks like.
There was a small tasting area of the different chocolate % bars sold.
I don't know if the problem was with Jouvay or the tour operator.

Went here on a tour from cruise ship (combined with falls). There were so many coaches there we didn't get to do the whole tour. We heard the end of one tour but too many people to see anything. The drying beans smelled awful. Hardly anything in the shop. Better to look up all the details on their website than go here.

Had a half day island tour with a cabby, Edwin Frank, great guy. We stopped at the Jouvey Chocolate Factory and had a nice tour. Saw everything from the plants to the final product. A nice complete and short tour of their operation.

We visited this site while on a tour of the island. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He gave an interesting and informative tour. At the end of the tour, we went into the store to buy some chocolate. Our friends didn't notice the sign that showed the price as $5 per chocolate bar, or 5 bars for $20. They walked up with 8 bars, and the cashier charged them $40. When I saw this, I pointed out that they could get 5 bars for $20, so they should get 10 bars for $40, not just 8 of them. The cashier had already processed their credit card payment, and said she couldn't reverse it. Our tour guide also agreed with her. I asked why the cashier didn't tell our friends about the reduced cost for buying more bars, but she said that wasn't her responsibility. It was up to the customer to see the correct price. I told her and the guide that this was very poor customer service, and I would have loved to have spoken to the manager/owner of this business. I hope I get a reply from someone as a result of this review. If you go to this store, then buyer beware.

The tour was so-so, but the chocolate was to die for. Very rich and delicious. They have lots of varieties and some very dark chocolate that is not bitter. We brought a lot home. Save room in your bag.

Visiting the processing plant was fun and informative. I never knew the numbers of processes on cocoa bean goes through from plant to my mouth!

The tour of the factory truly is laughable. Basically, somebody will fetch a cocoa pod and you'll suck on the raw bean (they're yummy if you haven't done this before), then they will quickly explain in a very bored and I-would-rather-be-elsewhere kind of way how they are fermented, roasted and sorted. They you'll be quickly shown the machinery from behind glass and you're done in less than five minutes.

The guys in the shop were nice and I liked the chocolate tasting.
