About
Set in woodland near the shores of Lough Neagh, Craigavon Golf Ski Centre at Silverwood, near Lurgan, is a great facility that boasts Northern Ireland’s only outdoor artificial ski slope, plus two golf courses and putting greens. A 300ft main slope, nursery slope and snow tubing facilities ensure the whole family is catered for. Two golf courses are set in mature parkland and offer many challenges. In addition there is two putting greens and a cafe on site. The site is complemented by an attractive clubhouse catering for the needs of the visitor which include changing facilities and a restaurant with covered terrace overlooking the ski slope and golf courses.

Great instruction, lovely staff but poor food
Nov 2021
Had a great day of snowboard on Sunday.
The instructors were really good. Very patient and gave clear instructions.
I couldn't stop smiling the whole day!
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the food included. It was really bad. I'd rather pay for better quality food rather than cheap burgers. The staff were kind and helpful so no criticism of them.

Snow tubing fun
Aug 2020 • Family
Snow tubing fun! Excellent family day for 6 cousins aged 5-12. Staff extremely helpful and should be commended. The tubes were sanitised before we got them. The kids had lots of turns in the allotted time. They enjoyed the water spray on a hot day and the music added to the atmosphere. Have already recommended to other friends about a return trip and we live over an hour away so worth the drive.

Poor par 3 course. Bad value for money. You need a range finder, as all hole lengths are incorrect.
Jun 2020 • Solo
Par 3 course- terrible distance measurements on each hole. Not even one of the nine is correct. Whoever measured it must have been drunk. One hole is 50 yards out, one is 40 out, and the rest are around 10 to 15 out.
I paid £13 for the 9 holes at weekend. Its not worth more than £5.

Fab fun for children

Grandchild’s birthday party Ski slope looked such fun. Let down badly by party rooms which are tired and very unimpressive. Party food dead on but you are rushed it to let next party in.

Dry Slope Tuition
Dec 2019
Learn to Ski (6.5 hr day)
We booked this as the ski school said a dry slope is really the only way to learn the basics. They said the indoor moving floor option doesn't prepare you well enough for the slopes. We're about to head off for a weeks skiing but we haven't skied in 29 years. Although I feel it's quite expensive at £80, I would still highly recommend it. The tuition was excellent and the instructors worked well with anyone who was having difficulty, giving them plenty of extra attention. It was really good fun.
Lunch was basic but you're not there for a fine dining experience - you're there to learn to ski. Soup was tasty & warm and sandwiches had been freshly made. Younger students seemed to opt for chicken burger and chips option. So, we absolutely got what we went for and we're now ready to go and feeling pretty confident. Easier said and done mind you.

Great staff, excellent day
Oct 2019 • Business
We went as a group for a learn to ski session with the fabulous instructor Stuart. Stuart was great and made the day fun and informative.
All the staff we encountered were lovely.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting to get an insight into skiing and get ahead before taking a ski holiday.

Thank you!

Poorest Par 3 course ever played
Jun 2019 • Friends
My first 1* rating of any local activity.

Silverwood/Craigavon Par 3 course has two main issues:

Firstly, course length and hole size. The 15 hole course could be vastly improved to be an 18 hole course, as many of the holes are rated far outside an attainable Par 3. It would be wrong to assume that some holes were anything short of Par 4 with a good driver off the tee.

Secondly, and MOST importantly, course quality - disgraceful. The £10 green fees would cover a full student rate 18 hole round at a professional local course such as Portadown or Tandragee. Instead, here, you can look forward to literally being ankles deep in mud (drainage is shocking) and playing on ground which is divited, covered in animal faeces and waterlogged. The teeboxes and hole numbers are literally made from cement-filled 500ml Coca-Cola bottles. The greens feature colossal, sand-bound rabbit burrows. The fairways are little better, with randomly placed "trenches."

I'm not sure there could be any less effort put in to the upkeep of this "course." I would struggle to recommend this activity at all, neither for value or enjoyment. Spend your money supporting a local golf club or minigolf course!

Rude staff on the dry ski slope!!
Feb 2019 • Family
Really rude member of staff (male) on the dry ski slopes to my young son. Told him he was a rubbish skier with no technique. Spent the evening shouting at all the kids.

What a guy!!

Whoever runs this place maybe needs to look at the people they employ. Let’s face it it’s a bit of a run down archaic dump.
