Ok but could be fantastic, with a little thought and money.

Fantastic place has everything going for it, let down by lack of trail planning , in regards to flow and signage that allow visitors to get the maximum from their visit. Also, while I understand that present conditions make indoor catering difficult, the cafe is enormous thus allowing for social distancing. In addition, there are a number of exterior doors that could allow air to flow through the space, if left open. However, if for some reason, not immediately obvious, money could be made by contracting an outdoor kiosk (horse box) caterer.

Disappointed
Aug 2020 • Family
Disappointing. This place is clearly lacking funding, limited signage. No walks sign posted, uncared for, blocked paths. Shame really.

Jan 2020 • Family
Visited here over the weekend with my daughter an our dog, beautiful fresh walks around the marina and the lake, paths everywhere I promise you don’t get lost. Plenty of parking spaces beside the tourist information centre.. ended our walk with a coffee an scone in the coffee shop.. beautiful views an well worth a visit.

Nature walk with lunch
Nov 2019 • Couples
Lovely nature reserve. Fantastic restaurant with first class food and service.
Easy parking with easy access to facilities.
Great information centre with local knowledge for nature walks.
Would definitely recommend a visit for a day out with plenty to do for singles, couples or families.

Coffee & Scones after a lovely walk
Aug 2019
Recommended to visit by our hosts at Cherryville BnB we had a lovely walk around a good part of the lake and the Prom area - every one we met was happy to chat and offer advice on where to get the best photographs - We also enjoyed our coffee & scones

If the centre is closed there is little info
Aug 2019 • Couples
We arrived at 6 pm and the visitors centre was closed so there was no information, no trail maps, no pointers to wildlife, nothing. We went to Lough Neagh and ended up walking through a woodland full of invasive Himalayan balsam. Very underwhelming.

Dog friendly

Free parking. Walk is around 20 mins to an hour. Dog friendly but on leafs due to it being a nature reserve.
Quiet and peaceful

Day out with nature
May 2019 • Couples
Visited the cafe for a snack lunch followed by the 2km Old Shoreline Walk calling in to Kinnego Bird Hide on the way.
Pleasant walk, butterflies and birds aplenty. Good weather made the day.

Hope to return later in the year.
