Just spent a lovely morning at Cotehele. What a blessing to be able to enjoy the Spring Sun in such glorious gardens. Well tended gardens full of super flowers, and such super walks around the garden, lawns for picnics, refreshments, craft gallery, shop. Certainly worth a visit. Enjoyed coffee in the idilic garden alongside the coffee house on the Quay.

All the gardens looked stunning with all the gorgeous flowers! So much to look at and would be even more lovely on a sunny day. Lots of walking though so obviously not ideal for my disabled nan but what do you expect for such a historical place

We live locally and renewed our NT membership this week so although we walk through the woods and down by the quay a lot, we haven't visited the property in a while. I went this morning with my 2 and a half year old daughter and we had a wonderful time. There is a lot of space for children to... More

This is a truly stunning location, quiet, peacful, mind refreshing, beautiful and romantic. Ran by the National Trust this has to be the secret jewel in their crown of the 500+ properties that they look after. I read one review on here that gave it a 1 star and really shot down the place, guess the guy was having a... More

We were too early in the year for the house, but enjoyed a delightful stroll round some beautiful gardens. Some parts were reminiscent of Calke Abbey for colour and succulence. We'll go back.

Visited with my mother. We were confused at the entrance, we ended up parking down by the river and walking up some path that was some back entrance to the gardens and house so wasn't clear of the right entrance. The gardens and orchards were nice to walk around. Was alright place to kill an hour and a bit. Would... More

We visited Cotehele house in chilly late February and most of the trees were bare, gardens sleeping, and the house closed. However! we had a good wander around the formal gardens and orchard and saw a lot of the exterior of the buildings - they open in warmer months and it's obvious that they are very grand and interesting, so... I was in need of some fresh air, so took myself down to Cotehele found myself taking a trip to the folly tower, with some grate views. Then off to the hall to see the garland. came away felling very Christmasy

Although the house was closed when we visited we had a lovely walk around the gardens and down by the river. A bit too wet to walk to Calstock this time but that is a great walk when the weather is nice.
