We went here for something cheap to do on a sunny day during the summer holidays. The kids really enjoyed the splash pad and play park. My older son enjoyed the skate park, and we took our dog, who was allowed in the gardens and surrounding areas (except child's play areas) We took a picnic to keep cost low, we... More

Brilliant day out there was a small market. A splash pad for the young ones. A small train which was only 80p. Only a short ride but good value. Boating lake which was quite reasonable at £3 50 per boat. Ducks on the lake to feed. The only disappointment was the cafe. Had read good reviews but the cake selection... More

the staff were friendly, there were plenty of choices, and didn't have to wait long to be served. When the food came it was hot and very tasty.

Walk the dog throught this park twice a day. Glad to see so many people use it like I do. Always kept clean and tidy. I give credit to the council men i see every morning at 7:30 rain or shine. Keeping the park maintained for the public

The town of Matlock is a lovely place to visit and the park is very very well maintained. The gardens are beautiful, the boating lake is unusual and the children's play area is fantastic. We used to live in Matlock over 30 years ago so when we had a visit this weekend I was very pleasantly surprised that it is... More

You can spend a good few hours here at Matlock park. Lots to keep the kids entertained. We particularly enjoyed the little train which runs in the summer months. The town of Matlock is an Old Victorian Spa Town, the Hall Leys Park is a beautiful place to visit for all the family. The Park has been given the Green Flag award for a number of years. Ther is a small light Railway, a boating lake, pitch & put, plus a fantastic paddling pool for the children
