full of local chavs mostly. Gets v busy at weekends with day trippers and to be honest I cant see why. Its a small park. Some nice flowers and some ducks but that's about it.

We wouldn’t describe Hall Leys Park as “small”. The winner of 8 consecutive Green Flag awards from the Keep Britain Tidy Group, it’s rated as one of the best town centre parks in the country, featuring well-surfaced paths, a riverside walk, plenty of benches, good lighting and clear open spaces. Hall Leys is a regular venue for major events, competitions... More

I'd not really been here for about 50 years, and couldn't remember what was there apart from the paddling pool; it is lovely, pretty formal gardens, a wonderful lawned area, a miniature railway (it didn't seem to be running today), a putting green, park stand and a cafe, all in all, a lovely place to spend the day.

Great park with lovely cafe serving varied and delicious food. Toilets at the end of the park were smelly and dirty though and needed cleaning!!

This park is a true treat thanks to Derbyshire Council, it is a really well maintained Victorian style park with a modern twist, the flower beds are well stocked, a lovely rose garden and well manicured lawns. It has plenty for families to enjoy and a great use of water for both children and wild life, and an amazing cafe.... More

We took our two young children to the park on Monday when school was closed for teacher training. The park was lovely and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and well looked after it was. All parts of the park were good, gardens immaculately looked after, the bowling green looked good, the little café was busy, and the kids... More

Take the time to walk around here, it is quite lovely, a lovely Bandstand, and a Lake, and make sure to visit the sensory garden.

We walked around here late one afternoon. The sports field across the road sometimes allows parking on their field for £3 all day, which is great as Matlock doesn't have enough parking. We fed the ducks and then walked down to the small bridge and saw where two flood levels were in the 1960s. We then walked over to the... More

Visited the park with my 18 month old daughter. There was a good festival on, so a few rides and stalls were on the field. Lovely little train only 80p a ride, boats on the duck pond and a splash area for the children. Freezing cold water but it didn't bother the children. Overall a fantastic day out!
