An excellent day out. Ewan was a great guide, very knowledgeable and steady. The caving was far better than I was expecting with a range of opportunities to try different levels of difficulty. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend the day. Am now considering the two-day course which I think will be a bit more challenging.

Had great email communication from the team with a detailed plan of the day. The post code that is given is accurate enough but you may have to travel a few hundred metres further on the road depending where you are travelling from. The building itself is cosy where you do the class room bit for an hour teaching us... More

I attended a two day Beginners Navigation course with Pure Outdoors over a weekend. Steve, the tutor, and all other members of staff I met were incredibly friendly and laidback. I found the weekend really useful, and have definitely acquired skills that I can put into practise in my home and work life. I'm tempted to book onto the Silver... More

Booked a vertical caving day for my birthday with a friend, and we had a totally brilliant time. Our instructor, Ewan, was fantastic, and had the patience of a saint, and really put us at ease. After much deliberation over whether I like confined spaces, have decided I will definitely book with him again. Would totally recommend this course to... More

I attended a navigation course here. It was facilitated by Steve and the queries managed my pre course enquiries and booking made by Guy. On arrival the centre was friendly warm and welcoming. I was offered refreshment and felt welcomed through the introductory paper work and pre activity process. After a clear and practical presentation on the weekend and theory... More

Gav did a great job with us. Cheerful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Our weather wasn't so good, but he was still able to pick crags that could keep everyone in the group entertained. Top work! Thanks!

Did two days navigation in Peaks then three days in Snowdon. It works really well how they link and cross over various courses. The guides on all days were great especially at Snowdon as I was the weakest link but was not made to feel so. When you look at the manpower and logistics of it all the prices are... More

Had done an intermediate rock climbing course in April with Neil and had an amazing time though there were climbers of mixed ability. This time, a friend and I booked a private course with Neil over the weekend and spent a day bouldering and a day top-roping at Stanage. We mostly had indoor bouldering experience and it was my friend's... More

A great experience despite the rain. I have some climbing experience and Guy was able to arrange a weekend with two other climbers who were at a similar level. The instruction was excellent.

I did the intermediate climbing course with Pure Outdoors. Gav and the team were great and tailor the course as possible to their clients. All the instructors were funny, approachable and really love their job and getting outdoors. Loved the course, learned loads and enjoyed every minute of it. Can't wait to get out climbing with these guys again
