- Clark9 contributionsBest Halloween Ever!Amazing night. First time trying with a buddy. You're put into a team and have hilarious hosts who made everyone laugh. The zombies were very good and chased relentlessly but would break character in emergencies. I can't recommend enough. So glad I was in the winning team.Visited September 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 31, 2023

Each location offers something different and we've thoroughly enjoyed every one. The team at Nottingham (Kenny, Wayne, Mark and Becky), and at previous events, really go all out to make the games as immersive and enjoyable as possible, while making sure safety is a priority. Really looking forward to our next event and trying some of the other locations. Thanks ZU for another awesome evening and also a big thank you to all the zombies too!Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 5, 2023

One of the funniest experiences have done and a great laugh if you want to see if you could survive a Zombie Apocalypse. The instructors Kenny and Wayne were really good and they packed in quite afew missions. The zombies were also very scary and made it exhirlating especially Titan. Went with a couple of my work mates to the last event at district 26 and it was fantastic, so professional and well run. I was scared from the 2nd I got there until the end as I should be. Well worth it these guys are a fantastic team.

Here's a very honest review of a good but flawed evening with suggestions about how it can be improved:
I got together a group of 7 friends to attend the first Zombie Uprising event in Manchester. The factory location was great, but we weren't greeted with the bells and whistles of tanks and cars seen on the trailers etc. The organisation seemed scatter gun - no disclaimer forms to sign (apparently not enough) - organiser seemed angry with us not having forms - when not a single one of us had received one? The toilet had apparently been locked by someone who took the key meaning us all (including girls) had to just go 'wherever' outside. Again, it just added to the feeling it was roughly organised - also it kept taking us out the atmosphere of the game.
Once inside it picked up a bit with a briefing - nothing special tho and lacked any urgency. We eventually headed into the building for the game to begin - the atmosphere picked up and it was genuinely thrilling. For the first mission it was a lot of fun and we were all getting into it and having a laugh.
For mission 2 - each team had to find certain items. We didn't find a single video tape - in fact throughout the whole evening we never once saw one - not one - we were told they were definitely there - but saw an abundance of all the other teams collectables - from bio hazard signs to blood bags - but not a single video tape. We failed this which was disappointing for the effort and hard work we put into effectively sweeping rooms (we had two former army on our team). We were also told to kill zombies and collect their ID cards - risky in case they come back to life - we did this really well - picking them off and collecting cards. When we returned to 'base' we got told that because the vast majority of the numbers found on the cards was not on the sheet the 'man in charge' had - we'd get 5 points - this was after he initially said we'd get nothing. This was when the game started to feel a little odd and unfair - we'd not found a single tape - we completed a mission to kill zombies and collected cards for points - just because they hadn't organised the right score sheet for the evening shouldn't have meant we lost points. Things started to sour a little.
At mission three though - it went downhill. We lost our guy with the walkie talkie - we were not told what to do if we lost our team or the importance of the walkie talkie changing the game rules. Our mission was to go to 'any floor' and scour the rooms for keys - and we did - 4 of us on our own - no action - no keys - no nothing for about 40 mins. Apparently the walkie talkie had told everyone to go to 'c' floor. It could be argued this was our own fault losing the walkie talkie but it's easy to get lost in the dark and there was no contingency for this happening. We were very bored and fed up that we didn't really care that the mission was complete and another had started by the time we found people again.
It was a mixed bag - as an organiser I wanted everyone to have a great time - and whilst we had moments definitely - we all agreed there's many rough edges that need sorting out to make a fairly ok/good experience - great. Would I do it again? I'm not sure, I felt a little embarrassed that it ended on a flat note after what started to feel promising. We still had things to talk and laugh about afterwards mind.

I have no words...what an experience!
The SWAT team are Epic, absolute characters.
The whole experience from beginning to end was totally terrifying but awesome.
I laughed, screamed, cried & ran like hell..but in doing all that I totally forgot to shoot anything! 😂
Genuinely one of the best things I’ve ever done.
TITAN gets his kicks from scaring the bejesus out of helpless women!
Thanks for a great experience!

I’m going to the Chesterfield location on Saturday. Do we end up covered in blood and guts or do we not need to worry too much about what we wear?
Written September 18, 2019
You do not end up in blood and guts, but it is an old warehouse which is damp and dirty so I would recommend wearing old clothes.

Which is the nearest train station stop to you?
Written November 16, 2017
Sorry, my husband drove so I am unsure of how far it is from the train station. If you go on the website you should be able to get a better idea of the location.
Written November 17, 2017
Would this be suitable for a group of 14 year old lads or would they need an adult? Or is it geared more towards adults full stop?
Written September 9, 2017
Unfortunately not. All participants must be aged 16 and over. The event is for adults only due to its content.
Written September 10, 2017
Do they use dry ice at these venues
Written January 21, 2017
Hi Richard,
We don't use dry ice at the events.
Thanks
