My aunt & uncle were over from Australia and they don't have canals & narrow boats there so we went on an afternoon trip on the Barbara Mclellan Narrow boat. They loved it! It was £6 for a 2 hour trip and we went through 2 locks (same lock twice), we also went over a viaduct. It was such a relaxing afternoon out and on board there's a bar. There's plenty of seating inside, but you can sit outside at the front of the boat where you can really soak up the atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Plus where you get on the boat there's a very nice café which is reasonably priced.

Lovely little town and walk along the canal. Such a peaceful walk around the wharf and Tithe Barn. Nice little cafe right on the waterside.

Went here recently and walked the canal path into town. On returning sat and had a coffee and watched the boats go by. Very relaxing!

Wonderful canal walk, with a great views of boats, ducks and swimming dogs, as well as fishing. There is a good cafe that serves pots of tea and a variety of ice creams. It's fun to watch people push open the locks to let the boats through. A good place to be on a sunny day.

We were fortunate to stay right on the lock at The Wharfinger House and took an inexpensive but worthwhile two hour cruise on the M.V. Barbara McLellan along the canal. A very pleasant place to stay and see the canal. Bradford on Avon is a picturesque spot. We chose to stay there and caught the train to Bath for the day and also visited the Devizes.

Stopped off in Bradford-on-Avon on our way home from visiting Bath at Easter. We had a wander around before we enjoyed an afternoon tea and the Wharf was lovely.

It was interesting to watch some some long narrow boats navigate the locks as they headed for Bradford on Avon. There is a pleasant tea shop by the locks, some shops and a number of pubs and restaurants nearby. Lots of boats on the canal and the walk along the canal is an enjoyable experience. The car park is accessed through a housing estate but is very convenient and reasonably priced

The wharf is right next to the lock at Bradford-on-Avon and affords a great view of the adventures and misadventures of the boats passing through.
