About
Kiwi's at DG's Brasserie is the newest pacific style lounge bar in Portrush which serves a selection of beers(we have Peroni Nastro Azzurro on tap and NZ Speight's and Steinlager!), quality wine, a selection of coffees, and savoury and sweet snacks in a relaxing and stilish environment. It's the closest you will get to a New Zealand surfers' bar (there are surf boards on the walls, and canvas prints depicting the Kiwi culture) without hopping on a plane.Kiwi's can also host private functions/ parties/ dos:Italian, French, and Thai food are available. The bar is family friendly and is above DG's Brasserie (formerly Don Giovanni's), 9-13 Causeway Street , Portrush. Kiwi's is open 7 days a week from 17.00 until late. Live music available several times per week.Tel: +44 (0) 7900660965.

Great Beer, great music and wonderful company
Jun 2013 • Friends
living in Chicago, visiting Northern Ireland, found this little slice of New Zealand tucked away in Port Rush.
Best New Zealand beer selection I have found outside of Auckland - enjoyed a few Speights!
Great band!
Would recommend this bar to anyone.
The couple running the bar are just fantastic hosts.

Wine & wings with music every Wednesday

We were super lucky to meet Chris on the sidewalk yesterday as we strolled the sunny streets of Portrush. Great party with super guests and generous hosts. There must have been at least 20 musicians of all ages, and two parties at least. Everyone was super friendly. Kiwi wine, Italian food, plus good irish humor and hospitality. Make sure you hit Portrush mid week and head over to Kiwis. Bruschetta to die for, thanks Maria for the recommendation. Chris and Maria are fabulous hosts. Enjoy.

.This is a top bar, great selection of beers and you got Chris to help you choose. Only stayed for about a hour which was not long enough but next time in Portrush we will return. Food served as well which looked great.

Chilled out and relaxing
Jun 2013 • Friends
Popped into this gem of a bar for a beer, and left several beers and one bowl of hot wings later. Such is the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the upstairs bar, and Kris, one of the owners, embodies this in his easy going manner. Food is provided and I was eventually tempted to a bowl of hot wings, which were delicious and not the usual greasy fare. For those in need of some hard-core spice, just ask for the 'Insanity sauce,' from behind the bar. There's a good selection of beers and cocktails, live music at the weekend and I thoroughly welcome a visit.

Great Pub
May 2013 • Couples
This Kiwi pub was recommended to us and we ended up spending our two evenings in Portrush here! A good selection of beers (particularly Kiwi ones) available at quite reasonable prices along with nice pizzas. Chris, the owner, was really friendly and we had a nice chat with him and some of the other lovely locals.

This bar is a must, great beers and cocktails. The owners Kris and Maria are really cool people, they make you feel very welcome. Kris will suggest beers for you to try, I tried 4 different ones and all were good. We also had a few spirits, really nice relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

great spot

One of the nicest spots in the Port, Wednesdays are open mike nights and it makes for some great music and the buffalo wings are pretty good to. Theres normally always music on the weekends. If that fails the NZ beer is always good

Nestled in a New Zealand Nook...in the North Coast!
Apr 2013 • Couples
After a superb dinner at 55 Degrees North, my girlfriend and I walked the short distance to Kiwi's to sample a few specialty NZ beers. Friends had been recommending this unique little establishment for months. The positive reviews on TripAdvisor made our minds up for us. We arrived late on a Friday night, and were greeted by the owner Kris (Kiwi) and his lovely wife Maria (Italian). They were just getting ready to close up for the night, but invited us to stay for a beer. Kris provided us with their 'menu' of imported NZ lagers and cocktails. We tried the Monteith's West Coast Golden lager - impressive. Kris and Maria joined us for a drink, and before we knew it we were tipsy and deep in conversation about travelling, beer, music and food! We tried the selection of Tui beers, an exceptional cocktail or two, and a complimentary shot of Italian grape spirit (made by Maria's family back in her homeland!). We have never been made to feel so relaxed and at-home in a bar! The bar has a relaxed beach-bar feel, with chill-out seating, surfboards, NZ memorabilia and artistic photograph prints on the wall (taken by Kris and Maria). Free Wifi, coffee, and soft drinks made this establishment an ideal place to hang out in the evenings. We will be back again soon, perhaps on a Wednesday night to check out some live music. Kris and Maria - thank you for hosting us and making our evening a memorable one. Hope to see you again soon...Brendan & Lindsay.
