We played the Dunluce Course. It was very busy with tee times every ten minutes. We were behind some slow golfers so we often had to wait for them before we could tee off. Be prepared to lose balls as if you don't hit a shot as you intended, it will go into the grass and be almost impossible t... More

The Dunluce Links Course at Royal Portrush is getting ready to host The Open Championship in 2018. The course is fun to play for mid-handicappers, but still a great test for single-digit golfers. The views are fantastic and no two holes look alike. If you visit Northern Ireland, make sure you don't miss Royal Portush! Both the Dunluce Links and... More

My girlfriend and I played here during a driving golf/distillery holiday of Scotland/Ireland in August 2015. While it was not our favourite course during the holiday it was in the top half (we played 19 courses). It is relatively flat but shots must still be accurate as the rough is typical eat-your-ball thick!

Yes the course is being prepared for the 2019 Open Championship but it doesn't diminish the experience of playing on a challenging but enjoyable links course. It can be brutal on some holes and spectacular on others. Well worth the experience.

We played Royal Portrush on a rainy morning. I am sure that the rain took away from the experience, but of course rain is part of the experience of playing in Ireland. Royal Portrush sits on a beautiful site overlooking the Atlantic. Many of the holes have ocean views, but unfortunately some have views are of the caravan park across... More

The course is getting ready. Host the 2019 British Open. There are two new holes being added, along with more bunkers, and longer tees. Be sure to use caddies as there are several blind tee shots. Wonderfully tough, yet rewarding golf course.

Expected much more from a course so high in the world rankings. Biggest gripe was condition of the course. It was really scruffy in many places where it seems no effort had been made to repair areas after works for the Open. Holes 7,8 and 9 had been swapped round but signage was really poor. Card of the course could... More

There are many great golf courses in Ireland and N. Ireland - it would be difficult to put any ahead of Portrush. Interesting to see the new holes being added for the coming Open Championship, they will make an already demanding course even harder. Some of the most challenging golf you'll ever face, highlighted by the 4th, 7th and, of... More

Royal Portrush GC fully merits its World Top 50 ranking. Ample car parking, a friendly welcome, an efficient and helpful starter, food and drink at the 10th tee and, at last, two new holes for the 2019 Open which will make the old 16th/new18th one of the great, great finishing holes in Irish golf. Worth every penny with stunning views... More
