Same stuff as at other vendors, but here the employee was friendly and quick to offer advice. Small inventory limits this store.

Cheap tacky rubbish
Apr 2018 • Friends
Went here on recommendation to buy our souvenirs as we were told by a tour guide not to buy at the Giants Causeway attraction...serious mistake...quality of items was awful and staff were not the warm friendly people we were told. The staff were almost rude and the quality of their goods was awful. We went back to the Causeway and explained this to the staff and they let us in and the items in their shop were great. Talked to a really lovely girl and she explained about the items being made locally...this is how it should be. Really annoyed at the guide, obviously being paid by owners of McConaghys..my advice is avoid!!

Unfriendly old woman working at gift shop
Oct 2017 • Family
Older woman working at gift shop not nice to customers. Does not explain to customers that they will not accept credit card payment for small amount, she yells at customers. How can they expect to stay in business by treating customers this way? She became very upset with man that wanted to pay with ten pound note, accused him of counterfeit money (but it was not). Should not be in business dealing with people with that attitude and personality.

Don't take children!
Sep 2017 • Family
Our experience trying to buy ice creams and souvenirs ruined our whole Giants Causeway day! The mature blond 'sales' person lost approximately £45 of sales by her rudeness first to my father and me as we looked at postcards on the door step and then by her attitude to children in the shop. I would say don't sell things aimed at kids if you don't want them to touch anything! And I mean anything - not breakables, but pencils and rubbers!

This attraction is in danger of being shut down by an application of the National Trust to turn it into toilets. Planning Application LA01/2017/0730/F

Proposal

Change of use from shop and office to ancillary W.C. facilities including blocking up internal access so that facilities are accessed externally only and alterations to façade to include the replacement of doors with a fixed glazed screen with hardwood painted frame.

Location

Causeway Hotel, 40 Causeway Road, Bushmills.

Applicant

National Trust, Rowallane Stableyard, Saintfield BT24 7LH.

It would be a shame to lose an important part of the Giant's Causeway heritage and the last vestige of local interest in the area.

Fun shop, lower-end
Mar 2017 • Solo
This souvenir shop is really just a little hole in the wall, but it has some cute souvenirs (mostly of the plastic knick-knack variety - don't go looking for high end beautiful keepsakes). The staff are very friendly and they sell plenty of sweet treats and ice cream cones.

Lovely little shop!
Oct 2016 • Friends
Such a lovely little shop with even lovelier staff! Very very helpful and always have time for a chat.

Everything is very reasonably priced as well, compared to the likes of the National Trust centre which is here too.

This shop is situated beside the Causeway Hotel, but can be easily missed so keep your eyes open!
