The Carrickfergus Civic Centre is a pleasant venue with a souvenir shop, Tourist Centre, Cafe and art exhibitions. I can highly recommend.

It was raining and we wanted to get out of the rain. Google maps showed that we were around the corner from the Carrickfergus Museum, so we dropped in. To our surprise there was no admission fee. At the entry is a children's play area....More

Came across it by accident but is really good and is free to go to especially with a family. Doesn't take long todo but with the castle so close it is of good historical interest.
