I didn't realise quite how many women were employed in the tin plate industry, and across South Wales. Very informative and as much of it is indoors you can visit in any weather. Well worth popping in,

We were in the little town of Kidwelly and decided to have a look at this museum expecting it to be small by the entrance that we arrived at. However it was quite the opposite, full of artefacts, photos and mechanical relics; really bringing to...More

On arrival this museum doesn't look as if it's going to have much of interest, but once you start walking round, it's excellent! So informative, spent a good couple of hours there, and it's free! Learnt lots about the tin plate industry, brick making and...More

Fabulous relics of the tin-plate, brick and steam engined industry. I really enjoyed being able to see original artefacts of a recent, but bygone age. This site needs preserving for the education of the next generations.

Has loads of social history from the Kidwelly area, its wheelchair accessible and has a disabled loo. Could do with a cafe and opening times should be displayed on the main road as you ften get there to find its closed.

My partner and me thoroughly enjoyed our visit here but our two teenagers got a bit bored. Knowing it is run by volunteers was a surprise. It deserves to be run by the national museums of Wales. It is such an important site.

Really interesting place for adults to visit. Lots of heavy plant and photographs to see, and you get a real feel for how it must have been to work in the industry. Strange to think that Kidwelly was such a busy and industrialised town in...More

We have lived in the area for many years but have never visited the Industrial Museum in Kidwelly, what a mistake. The Tin Plate Rolling Mills, Tinning Baths, Cutters and other items used in the making of Tin Plate looked as they had only been...More
