This place is superb and it takes your breath away. We have been here many times over the last fifteen years.

Fine views, good walk. Spoilt by workers strimming away for the length of visit. Would recommend, however, not on a strimming day. The chaps doing the work lacked our sense of humour. Lots of red kites in the areaMore

Glad to hear you had a good walk but sorry that your experience was spoilt by the strimming of vegetation. The National Park Wardens have been strimming throughout the summer in quite intense heat which as you can appreciate is difficult and physically taxing. They...More

Some very fine walking (in good weather), with an excellent trail loop system (including part of the Beacons Way) up from the car park. It feels more remote than it actually is--from certain vantage points you can see Llandeilo nestled in its valley, five miles...More

We took some Chinese youngsters here last year and they were fascinated by the various levels and different ruins of fortifications. An easy place to reach with a car, take sensible shoes, raincoats etc to be safe! It would be lovely to take a picnic...More

This site is well worth a visit. There are great walks from the fort up over the nearby mountains. the views are spectacular and so is the wild life. Get your walking boots on and give it a visit.

A circular walk takes you through and round this dramatic hill fort; we were thrilled to spot a Great Grey Shrike - very rare in UK

Its an interesting drive down a single track road to get to the small car park. Then a relatively short walk up a gentle incline to reach some fabulous views. We were alone up there for the hour or so that it took to have...More

There is an information board in the small car park with good directions, and within 10 minutes the views are quite exillirating . Walk a little further and the experience increases. Good open air attraction for people who like solitude. At no cost
