When the bell rings, ...... OK where was it made, how was it made. This place is a school lesson for kids and adults alike. Great Interesting lesson for all. Small - medium - large.
Go here live and learn.

How to make a Bell
Jul 2018 • Family
Short but very interesting tour on how a Bronze Bell is made (a little hint : it takes a lot of actions, effort and skill). Small sidenote ... only in Deutsch.

Interesting

So while browsing Gerolstein and things to do, this came up and I tought, well ok.
It is about 20 - 30 min from Gerolstein and a bit in the middle of nowhere, with it being a very nice drive.
If you are into this kind of thing it will be really interesting, if you are not, there is a souvenir shop with great prices.
Well made, quality bells, and other objects made out of the same material. Solid and heavy, yet very reasonably priced!
We did not do the tour, however the tour which was going on had about 20 people in it.
So in short. Kind of interesting.

One of the very few Family run businesses in a beautiful landscape village in the Eifel. We walked from Daun part of the very nice and instructive Lieserpfad to Brockscheid and after lunch in the bell fabric we had an interestig visit in German on the making of big bells for church Towers f ex. They have as well a nice Little store where you find all kinds of small bells. One should ask before if they have a guided tour that is absolutely afordable

A cultural highlight

Had a guided tour (only available in German). Gained insight into this family run business and the art of making a bell. Never knew how delicate it is to make a bell of one ton weight and to get 4 different ring tones out of it. Absolutely fantastic.
