We missed our ferry so had to spend a few hours here before the next one. Beautiful small port with nice bars and restaurants. We found a small area of pebble beach to relax on rather than walking to the main beach. The water is...More
Brac island is a lovely place with beautiful water however the rubbish all over the place did upset me. Locals should pay attention and clean up their island if they want to continue renting their houses out.
Lovely beach, clear water and aqua park - perfect for kids- but take food as there is nowhere to buy lunch. Snack hut sells drinks, ice creams and snacks. Nearby Sumartin harbour has some great restaurants though.
If you think that the water on the mainland,at Makarska and Tucepi,is crystal-clear,just sample the water here,at Sumartin:and so warm here, too;and very few to share the water with, too. The view from here is of the harbour:behind are lovely old houses and the old church.Wish I could...More
We have arrived to Sumartin by ferry.
Our destination was a small village Selca with population less then 1,500.

I went to Sumartin twice for swimming and it was great. in September there are not so many people so you can swim as if you had the beach because the whole shore is arranged for beach and swimming. it is very quiet and clean.
Sumartin is a quiet little town in the south east of Brac Island. It has a nice vibe with friendly bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a good bakery, vegetable/greengrocer shop and supermarket. Everything you need plus peace and quiet. Loved it!
