This was my third time on this trail. It is muddy as you get farther up the hill and can be a bit slick. The flora is absolutely amazing and such a contrast from my desert and mountain bikes back home. Apply bug spray! My adult daughter did not enjoy it as much as I did as many mosquitos found... More

Super well marked trail made it a pleasure to pass away a Sunday... We started at Flemming Beach and walked all the way to the end (7 miles; 5.75 + 1.25) and back in about 6 hours. Areas were muddy and there was quite a bit of overgrown vegetation, but it was pleasant and not technically difficult. Beautiful views of... More

19km round trip from Fleming beach. See my Fleming beach review for more details! Shade most of the way. Lots of various vegetation!

Don't let any body fool you into thinking there are no great hikes in Hawaii. this trail can be as long or as short as you want as there are several looping trails that will take you back to where the trail begins near the Ritz-Carlton. We hiked for about two hours and ended up back where we started by... More

This used to be a 5 star trail. Kapalua resort used to shuttle you to the trailhead starting point. Now, the shuttle is no more. So, you start the hike at the bottom of the trail at the Kapalua adventure center. You hike uphill as far as you can go. Unfortunately, it is 7 miles one way, so nearly impossible... More

This used to be a great hike. Kapalua Resorts ran a shuttle to the top where you had access to the trails and could hike down. They stopped providing that service in December 2015. Now it's hard to get up there for a day hike as its about 12-14 miles round trip and you can't take your own vehicle into... More

Good hike to get the blood moving. Lots of spiders and spider webs make the hike less enjoyable and a nuisance. Views are limited but there were 3 spots to catch views of the ocean and gulch. Hike was not too muddy like previous reviews, but there were stretches of overgrown plants and canopies of spider webs with spiders evading... More

This is very beautiful and well maintained trail. Easily accessible and easy to hike. It is about 6 miles long one way but we didn't go all the way. Instead sitting lazy all day on the beach, get active: Take this hike.

Kapalua Resort is a sprawling complex where all the activities you want for a vacation can be found! There's a breath-taking view of the hiking trail and a nice beach below to surf and swim.

If you like jungle walks this is your hike. The trail was mainly uphill starting from Flemming Beach. Along the trail you really feel like you are in a jungle. The trees surround you and plants go over your head. The trail had some points where you could see stunning views of the gorge and the water - we even... More
