Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

This was a golf course that my wife had on her bucket list. It is a fantastic course, well kept with spectacular views of the ocean and other islands. The only real problem is that they want north of $200. per person to play here. It is the most expensive course on Maui. That being said, we did have a... More

Played the Plantation Course last week. Whereas it's a beautiful course, the condition was very subpar. Greens were mowed unevenly, nearly all were blade-scorched badly, and they'd started to aerate around the greens. Very disappointed in the condition of the course. Not worth the $300 greens fees...at all! Go play Wailea. Much better conditions and equally as visually appealing.

I played here as part of a small golf tournament, and was really blown away by the course. Even though we battled frequent rain showers throughout the round, it was a lot of fun to play this course. They host the PGA opening "Tournament of Champions" each January, and I can see why the pros love to come here. It... More

After spending the morning at the Kapalua Golf Academy and enjoying lunch at the Plantation House restaurant we teed off and played in an almost constant drizzle. Despite the rain, the course was beautiful with amazing views every time I looked up. It was impossible not to keep stopping to take another picture. As an older, female golfer with only... More

Hard to describe what was best about the Plantation Course, the incredible scenery, the visual artistry of the holes, especially the blind ones or just the overall magnificence of the complex. My golf wasn't flash but who cares

Awesome course with sweeping views of Molakai. The military discount was awesome and much appreciated. Saved a lot on rentals right down the street. Highly recommend.

Plantation is a huge golf course. Can be very tough in the wind, however you can also hit 360 yard drives if you catch the hills just right. Our group of locals plays this a few times a year and it always kicks our butts. The greens are big and mean. 3 putts are normal. Beautiful track and a great... More

Amazing service at this course! Every single person I encountered was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great time. Went a bit early and got to tee off sooner than my booking. Was paired up with one other single and we finished in about 4 hours with no pressure behind at all. Course... More

This is for sure one of the best and most beautiful courses in the world. For me a better experience than pebble beach. Fantastic Bermuda grass fairways with very uneven lies. This was our first time and we could have used a fore caddy as many good shots ended up at the wrong side to have a good approach. The... More

I played the plantation course, and what a fantastic course it is. The layout is awesome and conditions were just perfect. You really have to focus, cause the view is just unbelieveable from pretty much all spots on the cause. This has got to be the best cause in Maui!! PLAY IT!
