Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

First time playing this course. Would recommend playing with a caddie or someone who has played before. Fairways slope is not intuitive on most holes, if out of fairway don't bother looking for your shot! Also, several blind tee shots add to the challenge. Perfectly groomed course. Great traps! Heavy rain for about 30 minutes in the afternoon but we... More

I played this course constantly distracted. The views are amazing in almost every direction. I love the room off the tee, it makes the course playable with the wind and wow was there wind. It has some extraordinary challenge on some holes, par 3 over the canyon for one with a wicked cross hurting breeze but it was so enjoyable!... More

Beautiful course with panoramic views. The staff at the clubhouse was excellent, friendly and helpful. The clubhouse had a large selection of merchandise. Definitely worth the price for the round. I wasn't planning to play the course because they had it closed for aeration but it opened on the last day we were in Maui. Despite the aeration sand and... More

Difficult but beautiful course. Wide fairways and large greens- that's the easy part. Some very long holes and sloping fairways. Day I was there very windy.

I was able to enjoy this course again and was just amazed at the vistas as I was the 1st time I played here several years ago. The greens had been aerated a few days before I played but it didn't matter. They still putted pretty true and didn't detract from the round.

This was a golf course that my wife had on her bucket list. It is a fantastic course, well kept with spectacular views of the ocean and other islands. The only real problem is that they want north of $200. per person to play here. It is the most expensive course on Maui. That being said, we did have a... More

Played the Plantation Course last week. Whereas it's a beautiful course, the condition was very subpar. Greens were mowed unevenly, nearly all were blade-scorched badly, and they'd started to aerate around the greens. Very disappointed in the condition of the course. Not worth the $300 greens fees...at all! Go play Wailea. Much better conditions and equally as visually appealing.

I played here as part of a small golf tournament, and was really blown away by the course. Even though we battled frequent rain showers throughout the round, it was a lot of fun to play this course. They host the PGA opening "Tournament of Champions" each January, and I can see why the pros love to come here. It... More

After spending the morning at the Kapalua Golf Academy and enjoying lunch at the Plantation House restaurant we teed off and played in an almost constant drizzle. Despite the rain, the course was beautiful with amazing views every time I looked up. It was impossible not to keep stopping to take another picture. As an older, female golfer with only... More

Hard to describe what was best about the Plantation Course, the incredible scenery, the visual artistry of the holes, especially the blind ones or just the overall magnificence of the complex. My golf wasn't flash but who cares
