Big wide beach. Relatively sheltered. Okay snorkeling. Can get blown out. Trees to find shade in. Restrooms. Overall not a bad choice.

This beach was located at our hotel. The water was murky and not good for snorkeling but we had a great time playing in the waves. Compared to the many other beaches we visited while in Maui, the sand was softer than most. It was...More

Great smaller beach to go. Lots of waves for fun on boogie boards. Good parts of this beach is there is soft sand, a lifeguard station, bathrooms, showers and even a place to go for food if needed. However, the nearby place is expensive and...More

Gorgeous beach that is a bit less crowded than surrounding beaches. Would recommend bringing boogie boards, as the waves can get pretty big and are fun to ride! This is not a great place for snorkeling, but we did see two sea turtles in the...More

We watched the sunset here one night during our trip to Maui. The beach has good parking and is easy to get to. We didn’t get in the water, but the wAves looked good. The beach did have a lot of leaves and twigs from...More

This was a small place to park. Got to see a blow hole. Other than that, nothing else to see. You can actually hike down almost all the way down. Excellent view -- worth the drive? Maybe.

Little disappointed on the so called the American Best Beach Park 2006. Look left, look right, look front, look back, am I on the wrong beach park? What criteria the judges used to award this? Sand is not ‘soft’, a lot of dead tree roots...More

After many trips to Wailea, we just finished our first trip to Ka'anapali. While the area was overall wonderful, we were disappointed by the in-water activities at the Ka'anapali beaches themselves - the rocks and coral were good in places for snorkeling, and some folks...More

This is a great beach up north of the big hotels but close if you are staying at one. Bring sun lotion and a towel and relax. Good snorkeling too.

It's really hard to review a beach because everyones preferences of what they want and are looking for in a beach could be different. My family (my wife and kids ages 12 and 14) loved this beach. On 2 of the 3 days we spent...More

Yes. There is an activity kiosk at the south end of the beach right behind the tree line. I think that it is hosted by the Ritz, but probably open to all (for purchase or rental). Go towards the south end of DT Fleming and... More
