Breath taking views!

Ask for room 20 in the Ocean view villas. I can't imagine a better view on earth. Over 1200 square feet of luxury. We really had a great time!

The Wall Street Journal said visiting the Golf Academy 18 hole putting course was worth the trip. It's not. The putting surface is terrible. You rent a putter for $10 that is about 30 years old. Awful experience. Surprised the WSJ recommended it.

Drove up to Kapalua to see first hand the course and lodging surrounding it. We were impressed by how gorgeous the resort and golf course have been maintained. I watch the PGA event played here each year and admire the beautiful settings. We up buying shirts and hats to remind us of our stay.

This pro shop is a hidden gem. Lots of hats (men, women and kids) as well as clothing items and souvenirs. Highly recommend. There is a general store across the road that sells prepared food, breakfast and coffee.

The Plantation Course has gained its fame not only from the televised PGA event played here each January but also from the spectacular setting. The course winds it way over spectacular terrain on the northwest corner of Maui with spectacular views over the ocean and to the island of Molokai. Count on holes that play significantly downhill and uphill as... More

My hubby and I like checking out golf courses. Drove up to Kapalua to see first hand the course and lodging surrounding it. We were impressed by how gorgeous the resort and golf course have been maintained. However, we also experienced much more wind and rain here (which I understand is more prevalent during winter). Bet it would be awesome... More

For what you pay you are expecting one of the great golf "experiences" of the world. What you get are some striking views but: 1. The ocean never comes into play like, say, Pebble Beach. 2. Service is poor. 3. Amenities on course e.g. Washrooms, snack shop at the turn are few or non-existent. 4. Selection on the food and... More

On a recent Maui golf vacation I played both the Plantation and the Bay courses. The Bay was fun lots of room from the tee, some great ocean views. Number 5 was awesome. I play from the tips but there is lots of options for all levels. The staff we're very attentive and looked like they enjoyed their jobs. The... More

I played the both the Plantation and Bay courses on a recent visit. The Plantation course is more exposed to the wind, but the course and views are breathtaking. It instantly made my Top 5 list of courses. The Bay course is also nice and a bit cheaper.

First time playing there. Both courses were super fun. This is the way resort courses are meant to be. Plantation greens are immaculate, but every hole slopes and is so memorable. Both 18's are worth it. I came here from St Andrews and Troon - Kapalua was more fun
