Very friendly service. Our large family group got very good service after getting treated appallingly at Brew Town. If I ever go out to Brew Town again I will only come here. We felt much more appreciated. Thanks for saving our day guys 👍

Thanks. I think this was meant for KuKu Restaurant. They serve our beer in Brewtown, but we don't have anything to do with how it is run or operated. I'll pass on the kind words.

We had an excellent in-depth tour with co-owner Natasha of this state-of-the-art facility. I was especially impressed by their reuse/reduce/recycle philosophy, from sending their used mash to farms as cattle feed, recycling their steam, reusing barrels, corn-based tasting cups, and more. They paid a great deal of attention to creating a low carbon footprint while brewing some fantastic beers. We tasted a seaweed ale (my first), coconut porter, IPAs, sours, pilsner, and various other types of ales--the whole tap wall. This is a takeaway taproom, so bring a growler or two and prepare to enjoy.

When I moved to New Zealand from Australia, I knew that there was a craft beer culture starting to blow up. I had not heard of Kereru and couldn't pronounce it, but as a local of the area it has become my go to for beers. You should definitely stop in for the coconut porter, or an At-At. Service is friendly, tasting is free and there are frequently new beers to taste.

There is nothing outstanding to want you to go out of the way to visit. Food was ok but took a long time to arrive. Beer tasting was also average, 1/2 were ok the others not my taste. Clean and comfortable and surprisingly lots of toys for preschoolers. This is in a location of other boutique breweries so maybe a pint and move on.

This review is for KuKu Restaurant which is a venue where our beer is poured, but where we have no control of the management or running of this business.

Chris and Natasha are fantastic and welcoming hosts. You can taste small samples of beer before buying a flagon or bottles, also can pay for a full tasting tour which i really recommend. Kereru beers are true craft beers and I am sure you will find one you like. I really recommend stopping by and tasting the full range.

When we first visited New Zealand in 2006, it felt like a 'beer desert'. There were few craft beer brewers to be found and the larger commercial brews were mediocre. It's all different now! There are now numerous craft breweries and of all these our favorite it Kereru! Owned by a local couple who have devoted their passion to making superb beers, they now have more than a dozen. The brewery itself is a modest facility, but the beer is worth visiting for. Try as many as you can responsibly taste!

If you can't make it to the brewery, then look for Kereru in the local markets. We are hoping that their anticipated expansion to exporting to the US happens soon!

Very friendly and super helpful every time I visit. So much to choose from. Love their advent calendar of a bottle of beer, hope they do it again this year.

We came here for a drink after being at Panhead. There were only four beers on tap, and the interior looked/felt like a generic highway cafe. Not the vibe we were looking for.

Not an organized tour, just an impromptu visit with some friends to taste some beers. Showed some interest in the beers and the brewery and were rewarded with fantastic service and really insightful conversation. Oh, and the beer was wonderful. A pleasure to meet people passionate about their craft.
