We were told a couple of hours was needed, we spent four hours learning about the history of the area and still did not do this place justice. If you have a fascination about Cornwall this is definitely worth a visit and the adjacent coffee...More

This is a small museum but well worth a visit. It had the most staggering rock collection. Where you sometimes only see a few small specimens this museum had the largest rocks which were very well presented. Lots of interesting items on both floors and...More

A lovely museum covering prehistoric Cornwall to modern day with many exhibits of Cornwall's mining, fishing and social life. The collection of minerals from Cornwall's mines collected over the last couple of hundred years is stunning

The RCM, in downtown Truro, is like a high-grade antique shop as well as a museum. In the space of two compact floors you can find, among many other things: Peruvian pottery from 500 AD, 16th century German porcelain, classic grandfather clocks, busts of Napoleon...More

We were given a warm welcome and although no official bag storage our backpacks were stowed away at reception. Showing our park and ride tickets we had £1 off the reasonable entrance fee. Although seems a small museum you could easily spend the whole day....More

A fine example of how a small museum can inform and inspire. This museum imaginatively covers all aspects of Cornish life including geology, history, industry and culture. There are some fine local paintings here and even a small exhibition dedicated to the Poldark phenomenon. Allow...More

Enjoyed the museum, there was lots of things to see, although would be great to see more interaction. I learnt a lot from the visit and would probably visit again in the near future as plenty of time should be allowed!

We don’t get down to Truro very often from Plymouth but decided to visit while staying locally for a long weekend. The weather wasn’t great so wanted to do something inside and saw a leaflet for the museum. Glad we did. Lots to see and...More
