Ossian and his son Benny were awesome to work with as our family took surf lessons for the first time. They were encouraging, knowledgeable, and great conversationalist. Ossian even showed off some of his surf skills (riding the wave in a handstand) when we were taking a quick break! We truly were learning from a natural!

The young guides of FBI surf school, aged 13-18 were AMAZING. Kind, conscientious, highly skilled, compassionate, patient and attentive. We were a group of 7 with 2 teenagers, 4 50+ year olds and a 75 year old. We ALL got up on the boards and had great rides, thanks to our awesome guides. Confidence building, inspiring. Don’t think you can’t do this when you come to Kona. With this crew, you can. 🏄🏻♂️🏄🏼♀️❤️

We had the best instructor out on the water that day! He helped us catch the wave by pushing the surfboard and telling us when to paddle and when to stand up. My son and I would not have caught all the waves we did without the expert instruction. I highly recommend.

Ossian was amazing! From the start, he was extremely detailed on what to expect and where to find him in the morning. He started off with some instruction by the beach and within minutes we were on the water! He is an absolute master of his craft and really helped us get going on the waves. I'd come back to learn more from him any day!

I found Ossian on the website and noticed all five star reviews. I look for a smaller, more intimate business when I chose one. I brought my grandsons, ages 6, and 8 to a lesson today. I was especially worried about the six year old because he is extremely high energy. Ossian and his son gave my grandsons the highlight of their Hawaiian visit. They were both so patient with my grandsons and I would not hesitate to book them again. Best instructors ever!

Easy, friendly, absolute pro, brought his daughter to help my daughter. 10/10.
Really enjoyed the experience. I improved and my daughter went for her first time. Ossian is the man for all levels.
Came back second day. Would have third if we were here any longer!

Ossian gave my boys, 15 and 16, a semi-private lesson. One with and one without surfing experience. They had a great time. Both got up multiple times. They thought Ossian was a cool dude, high praise from my kids. 10/10 would recommend and return.

Great surf lesson! Ossian is an excellent teacher, knows the area and waves extremely well. Helped me stand up and ride a wave my first time surfing. Awesome experience!!

Osean was a great instructor and was very helpful. He definitely knows how to surf and how to teach. He was nice enough to get an extra instructor for free, which helped teach the three of my boys in the lesson. It was totally worth it!

I loved my surf lesson with FBI Surf School :-) Ossian and Austin were my fantastic teachers, and ratios were 2-3 people per teacher - great overall. They're all super friendly and helpful and adjust their instruction to the needs of the participants. I was by myself, so I appreciated the friendly, encouraging approach they take! This was one of the longest surf lessons I've ever taken (2 hours), so you definitely get your money's worth and wind up exhausting yourself (in a good way!). I'd definitely recommend them!
