Booked this location in December 2018 for December 2019 New Years Annual family get together and we weren’t disappointed . The scenic views were breath taking, the swimming pool ,sauna, jacuzzi bath was a real luxury. There was plenty of room for everyone well equipped spotlessly clean . Books and Jigsaws supplied . Lovely and warm really cosy in the nights. Coastal path to take dogs for a walk with once again amazing views watching the waves crashing against the cliffs. Dale not to far and about 20-25 mins from Haverfordwest if u felt like a little shopping. If we had any queries or requests Collette and the team went out of their way to assist us nothing was to much trouble for them considering it was New Year. We have made wonderful family memories at this location . Highly recommend and would defiantly return here

Although the property is now a holiday rent, we still enjoyed taking the coastal path and passing the lighthouse as it was very close to Dale where we were staying. Don't go if your expecting to be able to get up close or inside as it is closed to public. If you drive up there is a car park

Came here for a few days recently and whilst I and my compatriots enjoyed the stay and the awesome view, walks and surroundings, given the £1250 charged for 3 week nights I found the facilities lacking.

The whole building needs refreshing inside and out. My bedroom window squealed and hissed loudly with wind through the warped window/frame, the electricity board had to be reset multiple times indicating an electrical fault or short circuit, the pool was chilly (about 25 degrees) and the woodwork around the building requires attention.
The reclining chairs in the sitting room do not recline, there is visible rust everywhere and whilst the building has much potential it just had the feel of a building which the owners have given up spending money on and is to be sold, which it is.

The owner was lovely, I had no complaints about the service and there are some really nice design elements around the large and comfortable living spaces.

Above all the break was very relaxing and enjoyable. Just don't expect the equivalent internal standard to a typical £70-100 a night self catering local stay. There is a certain shabby chic style going on but I doubt it is by design.

Interesting novelty value but I doubt I'd return to The Old Lighthouse this side of a complete revamp.

Stayed in the cottage for a week in September. While clean the place is damp with paint peeling on the walls and damp/mould showing. It needs urgent upgrading to include the kitchen and equipment in it. The fridge is frozen solid and the temperature does not regulate.

Rented through Quality Cottages but think the quality is lacking here. Great location and area but not great accommodation sadly. Look elsewhere to stay is our recommendation

roof leaking, puddle on floor, no warning although owner was aware of problems, pool too cold to use, sauna not working, when owner informed he said "if you don`t like it, move on" Could be a wonderful place if the owner cared to maintain it, but he does n`t

I am writing this while drinking my morning tea sat in the top of the tower listening to the gentle sounds of the wind, watching the sea on 3 sides, beautifully relaxed and surprisingly warm. I this sounds a perfect start to your day this place will appeal. The views are stunning and even yesterday with sea mist it was exciting. At night the stars from the tower are also a beautiful sight. This is a holiday let like no other. I feel I should be telling you all the negatives so you won't visit and we can get to book it again. It is not perfect, hence the 4 not 5, but for a small group it ticks lots of boxes and the booking sites does state its condition honestly. The sauna took a while to get the hang of and the pool is cold but with wetsuits and the inflatables we brought the kids could still enjoy it. The kitchen is very well equipped and the open plan lounge/diner with it is a great family space. There is a smaller snug lounge too which we haven't had to use as the tower have 3 sitting levels. The family bathroom is funny as you need to go through to get to the football table and swimming pool ( unless to go through outside). There are bits that need work but this thing is so big, if it were renovated fully it would cost a fortune and we would never have been able to afford to stay. I believe you get what you pay for and this is excellent value for money for 10 people. The beds are comfy and my favourite is the small quirky double in the base of the tower. Mini window means it is dark but it is the most wonderful quirky place to sleep and totally quiet. The light of the working lighthouse near can only be seen properly from tower so does disturb sleep. The parking is in front of kitchen so easy to get bags in and out. Though there are bits that need repair, I was impressed with how warm it feels as the heaters and double glazing work really. If you like 5 star it won't suit but if you prefer age and history and laugh at quirks like a trickle of a shower (swapped to the main one which is great, it was the twin ensuite that trickles) rather than over reacting you will have a fantastic trip here. We are just trying to decide how long we should wait before we book again....

We wanted to stroll around St Ann's Head and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Unfortunately, the owners and/or residents seem to have gone out of their way to make visitors unwelcome. There is a nice car park with an information board saying a bit about the wartime naval base but nothing else. There is then a long walk along a narrow lane, at the end of which you fine more signs saying PRIVATE. NO PUBLIC ACCESS. RESIDENTS ONLY than I have ever seen in such a small area. The public are confined to a few narrow, barbed wire fringed paths that keep us away from anything we want to see. How disappointing. Why not go to St Brides, a few miles away and enjoy a beautiful little bay with all sorts of surprising things to see and a welcoming atmosphere

We spent Christmas at the Lighthouse. What an unusual place to stay at Christmas time! Such a great place to stay. Pembrokeshire really is beautiful in the winter. So quiet, except for the fog horn, the kids thought that was great. The dark, rough seas were amazing to watch. We were warm and cozy inside, the kitchen was perfect for cooking a good roast, the winds were pretty tough but I suppose that's to be expected if out on a headland, exposed to the elements? We loved watching the stormy seas.
We had two really good days of weather which helped us see a totally new aspect of St Ann's head. Also pretty awesome.

The villages were quiet but pubs open. Dale was too far to walk with our kids as under 5 and the weather was bracing. I can imagine in spring or summer it being a fantastic walk. The beach looked perfect and we went last year to Dale for crabbing but that was the summer.

The Griffin was a great place to eat, the Castle in little haven was very family friendly.

We enjoyed folly farm, blue stone for swimming. We had Tesco deliver our goods which was so brilliant. We didn't have to worry about that. Closest shop was Broad Haven so not far at all as we were out and about!

The lighthouse was decorated for Christmas which was great for the kids too!

We have booked the lighthouse again for July. We cannot wait. Aside from obviously being on a cliff face it is very child friendly and quite a venue.
Definitely recommend it!

Had a wonderful stay here but that was due to the company and the surrounding views. The owner was polite but this house is in need of serious repairs a section of the ceiling had fallen down leading to the pool which is freezing and rusty. This area is described as the gym um had a football table in then the washing machine. On the plus side was warm but drafts everywhere and you got drip on in the tower bedroom. Not worth what we paid we were expected luxury and were very disappointed but made the most of it as it was Christmas. The local pub does excellent food not to be missed.
