Awesome Fishing has been based from Dale for 10 years, it's the longest running inshore Pro guided lure fishing experience in Wales, and operates one of the smallest charter vessels in Wales. Our new vessel 'Grey Ghost' is an open aluminium sports fisher, infinitely recyclable, powered by a low emissions outboard motor, this is well in keeping with our environmental ethos, which pushes GG along at an impressive 25 mph, and can access areas bigger boats cannot. 'GG' licensed for upto 2 passengers, so if your an individual, 2 members of same family or 2 friends, you can be assured that you won't be sharing with anyone else. For the experienced angler we offer an unrivalled inshore light gear lure fishing from 3-8 hours, sessions available for Bass only or multiple species such as Ballan Wrasse, Codling & Pollack. For the less experienced we offer shorter angling experiences 1.5hrs fishing for Mackerel & Pollack, or 3hrs a bit deeper & longer Contact via WHATSAPP message, thanks.

Brilliant session with Jimmy my first real experience of lure fishing from a boat. He was excellent talking me through the tides and how the fish move. He put me on to the fish through out. Lost count of the fish we caught and lost a few big fish.. Bites were banging it was early in the season but it was non stop action.. I got my pb wrasse and it was stunning beautiful fish . I am over the moon with.. The pollack were smashing the soft plastic lures on light tackle a fish of 5 pounds feels great. I lost 2 good bass 50cm plus. Can't wait to go again knowing that he often catches bigger fish I highly recommend awesome fishing to everyone.

Another excellent trip with Jimmy passes in a blur of topwater explosions and arm wrenching hits from hungry bass and pollock. Inching into every craggy inlet, Jimmy knows just where to set up for the perfect drift and knows where to find, and importantly avoid, every submerged boulder. He makes it look easy, but that casual effortless skill and inimate coastal knowledge is hard won and the rewards for you as an angler are time and time again being put in the best spot, at the right time to maximise your chances of hooking up.The sea, as you may have noticed is BIG, and fish do not conveniently evenly distribute themselves for our delight and convenience 😊 Jimmy wont guarantee you'll catch, nobody can do that, but he will leverage that encyclopedic knowledge of location, weather, wind, tide, season, bait movement, structure, lure choice and retrieve technique and place you where you need to be. Having tipped the odds a little in your favour the rest is up to you, the fish and chance. You can't ask more from a guide than that, apart from maybe a sense of humour...but he's got one of those too 🤣
A fantastic day that I'll be repeating over, and over again as you can never catch too many bass on lures and the learning never ends. I doubt I'll ever be as good as Jimmy, but it's sure fun to try.

There were just two of us on the fishing trip and we opted for a four hour session, so it worked out at a premium price. But it was also a Premium Experience from the very start. The boat was fast and exciting whizzing along to our first of many 'secret' fishing spots. After only five minutes fishing, I caught a medium sized wrasse. He was released, but what a start. We had lots of bites which maintained our level of interest. We 'landed' quite a few but most were released. But we did keep three large bass and a large pollock. We even caught two fish on one lure, which was a first for the skipper.
Those bass were the best tasting fish we've ever had. Our wives were very impressed.
We are two inexperienced fishermen and the skipper was very patient with our clumsy casting and our constant questions. This experience has fired up our interest and
we will be back!

Really great trip. We went out for 4 hours with James. Two novices but we went after bass with lures in the bays near Dale and then mackerel and pollock on the reefs further out. Plus some trolling in between. Great to try different methods in one trip and Jimmy knows his stuff. He’s clearly a pro and happy to share his knowledge of these beautiful waters and the fish that live there.
The boat is super fast, well kitted out and comfortable for inshore fishing.
A great afternoon. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed learning some new skills and came home with plenty for the BBQ and the freezer.. Highly recommended.

Booked a 4 hour trip for my son's birthday, his Dad & friend. First outing was sensibly cancelled due to bad weather, but rebooked as soon as possible. Very well organised. Very safe. The skipper went to great lengths to ensure they had every chance of catching some fish (which they did). Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

This was my second trip out with Jimmy both times were a really enjoyable experience. This time a booked 6 hours and left Dale at 9am. 'Bang Tide' is a really good boat for this type of fishing and is both stable and safe. She's fast enough to get you to the marks quickly but a decent hull so that you aren't getting soaked when punching into the waves.
I have been bass fishing many times before but but mainly from the shore so Jimmy's knowledge was really helpful when fishing some of the marks as I haven't done much lure fishing in deep water.
Anyway, we had a really successful day and I caught 3 x Bass (all 42cm+), 3 x Pollack and my first Wrasse.
Jimmy caught as well, including a really decent Pollack.
I have been bass fishing many times before but but mainly from the shore so Jimmy's knowledge was really helpful when fishing some of the marks as I haven't done much lure fishing in deep water.
Anyway, we had a really successful day and I caught 3 x Bass (all 42cm+), 3 x Pollack and my first Wrasse.

Brilliant trip with Jimmy. A guide who knows his lure fishing and the water around him like the back of his hand. Never afraid to move and consistently found the fish exactly where he predicted they would be over and over again. Quality pollock and wrasse, just a little early season for bass. Good company too, which on a small boat for 6 hours makes a big difference! I'll definitely be back.

Went with a friend, a great day out & caught three species.
The bass was 2 mm undersize, pleased the skipper Jimmy would not compromise and fish was returned.
We had constant banter from the skipper & I can see that some people may not interpret this negatively, especially if trying to get away from stressful situations.
Skipper was extremely knowledgeable about the area and took our safety extremely seruiously. I would think if you had young kids a mackerel trip out of Tenby or Saundersfoot may be more suitable as the tides are extremely powerful.
I learned a great deal about lure fishing and casting, which was what the day was about.
I will be booking another trip with Jimmy

For those reading this, our novice level inshore trips include mackerel fishing trips are in areas that are less tidal influenced & never leave the sheltered waters of the Milford Haven waterway.

Had an amazing first trip out with Jimmy, of which there will be more too come.
If your looking to take in some of the best scenery Wales has to offer, aswell as give bass fishing a go, then you really need to book a trip with Awesome Fshing.
His experience and knowledge is second to none, and he will do everything he can too find you fish. As fishing goes you can't always catch but you will be in the best of hands, and you won't find anyone better to help you do it in the area.
During our trip we steamed around casting lines in little bays, working between lures to make it happen untill we found a small bay stuffed full of fish, lost count of how many bass we caught aswell as Pollock inbetween too.
The fishing couldn't be any better, crystal clear water, tucking Into areas that are unaccessible from the shore, and actualy being able to see the bass hit the lures is magic.

great experienced skipper moved to many places at different states of the tide , put me right when i wasnt using one of my lures right which instantly resulted in a 3lb bass .
i managed to do the triple bass , pollack , and cracking 3.5lb ballan wrasse .
will be going again as soon as i can ,
