Located on a small hi this temple is reached by foot...one can go in a car till half of the distance and from there temple can be reached through approx 130 steps...some are steep and uneven...once on top of the hill, we can have a great darshan of Sri Yoga Narasimha Swamy...a beautiful statue...while going to the temple, one can... More

This ancient temple is situated on the top of the hill at Melukote...Melukote is near to Mysore....you have to climb more then 200 steps to reach this architecturally rich temple.... it is difficult for the people with the weak lungs or hearts....stone carved statues are beautiful....it's really a man maid miracle. ..I wonder...how they have taken the stones at that... More

Good Views from Top, Cool atmosphere, it will take one full day to see Places, another Ancient Temple near this Temple.. Its Very Beautiful place

Hill top temple , with good views from top , better views in early morning... Nice Gods in Temple... Can have crowd on week ends and holidays...

Located right at the top of a hill, this is one of the ancient temples in the temple town of Melkote. There is however, a steep climb to negotiate and the steps are slippery at places and also high at some places. But, the temple is worth visiting and the scenery is something to behold.

We took a biketrip from bangalore to Shravanebelagola, while returning we went to Melkote temple. Road is good and comfortable. It is one of the sacred temple for Hindus. Tamarind(Puliyodharai) rice is famous in Melkote town. Tamarind Mix is available at many shops in the town. We went to temple on saturday, lot of crowds were there and they closed... More

This temple looks majestic and is visible when you are nearing Melkote as it is in a hill top. Steps to this temple is steep and uneven, so if you are going to this temple in a car then you skip half of these steps by parking your car in the open car-park half way between the foot of the... More
