Great activity for those chillier days when the outdoor pool in Morzine is just too cold. It has a brilliant indoor water park for toddlers and pre-schoolers and a really cool lazy river with large jacuzzi's and climbing wall. The facilities are very clean and modern with indoor sun loungers which was a nice touch!

A beautiful location, but out of season it is more or less dead. Only if you get a bargain stay at one of the residences should you consider staying there in summer, then you can use a telecabine to go down to Morzine where there is much more going on.

This is a good ski area although the town is a bit spartan. Mainly apartments which can be basic. Good choice of restaurants and bars and a swimming centre. Skiing in the resort is really good, high enough to get a lot of snow and also has access to Morzine, Les Gets and ver the border to Switzerland. Skiing for... More

I have changed my point of view for the past 4 years we are going and skiing there. Great station, lots of stuff for kids and nice play area for skiing. Caution: it is overpriced, from the sky passes (either Avoriaz or the Grand domaine), shopping, restaurant....

Went with a group of friend to the Snowbox festival and to spend time on the slopes but was fairly disappointed on the music side. Only had one act on a night, which started at 7 ans was done by nine, could only pay with tokens inside, which were useless every where else around the resort ' worth doing but... More

It's much larger than you originally think. I ended up with 5 separate ski maps and in fact keeping up with where you are can be a challenge. Morzine is great on whiter days as its covered in trees. Avoriaz is higher and is better on blue sky days. Watch out for the stash! It's a natural board park and... More

This was my first time staying in Avoriaz for skiing. Travelling as a couple, we were both compelled by the pedestrianised village as it made the whole resort ski-in ski-out. We both loved the resort it had a perfect balance of good restaurants (both expensive fine-dining and cheap take aways) and good night life. Our only complaint really would be... More

I have recently returned from a holiday at Avoriaz ski resort. What a fantastic place!!! Our chalet was lovely with meals prepared by a superb host called Rory. He was so polite and helpful and very welcoming. The food was varied everynight and nothing was a hassle for the host. All meals were prepared from scratch and were delicious. The... More

Fantastic ski resort with a purpose built pedestrianised village high up in the mountains. We stayed in Morzine and took the Super Morzine bubble or you can catch the free bus service to Prodains cable car approx 10 minutes away. Either one will get you to a brilliantly planned and massive ski area. Try the Aquariaz swim/water park - it's... More

First time up here for me and my families first ski trip. Absolutely loved it. We went at easter so had an easy drive up, and down, the mountain. This meant the resort was rammed over the weekend but once we hit Tuesday it meant significantly reduced queues at the lifts. That said the Port du Soleil is so vast... More
