This enormous church has remarkable stonework - the rose window, screens, lady chapel and other carving are remarkable and worth a detour although in poor condition in places.

With the Saturday market filling the streets around the church, it was lovely to hear a choir practice on our visit. Lots of beautiful lady chapels and a serene atmosphere.

It's quite sad to see such a venerable and historic church in such disrepair. There is some evidence of minor restoration work-but it appears to be moving at a snail's pace. It would take very substantial funds and considerable expertise to restore the church to...More

My husband really likes churches and I am fond of architecture too, so a perfect match. ;-) This is a nice and soothing church. It is beautiful but it has a really nice and calming atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
