Large and very impressive old church in the middle of town. Souillac itself has some nice bits but is not really that stunning.

We rented a car and drove around the area stopping periodically when something looked interesting. Souillac is a cute small town with this imposing church and abbey which used to house Benedictine monks. There are some impressive sculptures inside and the domes are decorated inside...More

Rather plain and simple church but worth a look as its next door to the Museum in an interesting old town.

This is romanesque architecture at its best. Free entry. I have been to Souillac twenty times but decided to go into the abbey only the other day (out of the rain). Superb in every respect.Do not miss it.

Amazing in terms of size and quite unique in style. Haven't really seen anything like it. Very spacious inside and splendidly not over ornate so quite a refuge.

Not a stunningly beautiful church. It is quite old and large with multiple domes in the church sanctuary. No great art inside.
