Referred to amongst friends as the ‘pink rocks’ walk, we absolutely love this area. It’s such a beautiful part of the northern Brittany coastline. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a scenic walk and/or a bit of a climb in the rocks. We’ve had lots of fun taking posed photos here over the years. The water is often a gorgeous shade of blue/ turquoise. The town it’s situated in is very pretty with a number of lovely little shops, cafes and seafood restaurants. In the warmer months theres also places to get ice cream. Would recommend to families, couples, groups of friends. Enjoyable for all ages.

What a charming place. A lucky find when planning our motorcycle route round Brittany. The views are simply stunning on a warm June evening and the sunset is one of the best I’ve seen.

Start at Perros-Guirec and follow the path on GR34 of the old customs officers: water-shaped rocks, wind, time. You can imagine anything, watching them: Napoleon's hat, a witch, a rabbit, all change color with light. When the evening comes, the cliffs light up...

A wonderful walk along the coast starting in St Guirec. Past the light house, the pink boulders and an ever changing view of the sea. Mind you, you will not be just be yourself, it can get quite busy, even in September

Incredibly beautiful, whatever the weather. With children, Perros-Guirec is the best place I ever visited to spend healthy holidays, to reconnect with nature, in a breathtaking environment. Everyone will find ones pleasure, revitalizing baths in the sea at beautiful sandy beaches, sailing (with dolphins possibly!), fishing, walking, surfing, visiting 16th century chapels, playing golf at St Samson golf course, enjoying fantastic restaurants with sea view, and many more things. If you are tired of crowded beaches of Southern France and prefer the family simplicity and discretion of Brittany, do not hesitate anymore. If you are lucky enough and can rent a Villa "Belle Epoque" (20') for you and your family or friends, go for it, they are just stunning with their pink granite stone and sea view.

This is simply a place you have to visite. Although it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere, it’s worth it. Especially if the weather is nice. The rocks are beautiful and the path is easy from the town center nearly out to the lighthouse. The last bit you have to walk stairs - but not at all difficult.
You should really be here for long enough to see the tide rise. It,s fascinating how high it goes.

This part of the coast is truely magnificent; the rock formations are outer wordly. The path is easy and well marked, and there are even some nice beaches along the route. So bring your swimming gear. We made the walk from Perros-Guirec but there are also some car parks close by (but I would recommend the walk). Overall a big recommendation!

If you planned to visit Ploumanac'h you did well. If not, you should plan asap. This is one of the most beautiful places to visit in France , with a splendid mix of sea, rocks and vegetation. The view is fabulous ,the air is fresh and you can feel the holidays all around you.

We walked around this area while staying at Le Ranolien holiday village. The coast path is lovely with great scenery and well maintained with no cycles allowed on it. The village of Ploumanac'h is lovely with a sandy beach and lifeguard. Amazing rock structures to climb on and admire.

A 'must do' when you are close to Perros-Guirec, is to visit the pink granite coast (çote de granit rose). A great place to do this is at Ploumanac'h. Check the tide times before you go there, so that you can make a walk over the bottom of the 'sea' between the rose granite rocks at low tide. Also along the rose granite coast there is the GR34 hiking trail that runs for over 1,800 km along the Brittany coast. Do consider to walk a piece of that route called ‘customs path’ (sentier des douaniers) that good starting points with public parking, a well maintained, created footpath, and it will constantly offer you breathtaking views of the rose granit rocks and the sea.

Il risque d’y avoir du vent en même temps que la pluie. Pas très agréable je pense.

Hi, we will be visiting Rennes in two weeks and plan to visit Cote de Granit rose and do not have a car. We plan to spend a day there. How do we travel to the coast/lighthouse? Should we stay at Lannion? Is there a public transport from Lannion to the coast. Please give your suggestions

I think you should definitely rent a car... Not so easy to go around with public transport in there....

Bonsoir ,

Bonne continuation
