    Fabulous Wine Tasting experience
We visited today for a wine tasting experience. Liz who greeted us when we arrived was amazing. She was a fountain of knowledge about all the wines, the grapes and how they are made. She was very attentive. The wines were lovely and I liked that a were given a score card which had the descriptions of the wines and the various notes you should expect to taste. Definitely a place to visit when you're in the area

Food, drink and a fun tour
The best vineyard experience I’ve ever had….. and I’ve had a few in various countries. Very thorough with history and the process which I love. I like to understand how things work and why. The host was very friendly and professional and was very open to questions and discussions which made the whole experience so much fun and interesting. We followed with an afternoon tea which was top notch. Usually which these things there is an excess of cakes in ratio to sandwiches but on this occasion it was perfectly balanced. This was overall a great day out.

    Well Worth A Visit
Excellent visit which was prearranged by my son in law for my daughter and I. We enjoyed a vineyard tour, information and history about the vineyard and the making of the wines, grapes used etc. A wine tasting session which was informative as well as delicious and afternoon tea with a good selection of sandwiches and treats all freshly made and served. Our tour guide Nadine was lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Well worth a visit. Keep up your excellent service I will definitely visit again. Thank you

    Outstanding tour of the vineyard
Just had a presentation, guided tour and wine tasting session at Kerry Vale Vineyard, led by Nadine, one of the family owners. Gold star to Nadine for opening up the mysteries of vine growing, wine production and wine tasting in a fun, highly informative, clear and interactive way with us all. Very natural style and no sense of following a script, as some tours do. Also, Nadine spoke very clearly, which for us older people is very important! Helped by a beautiful, early summer's day. We now feel as if we know more about what to look for in a wine - A Kerry Vale Vineyard one! Delicious. Thank you, Nadine Dave and Julie Luckhurst

We have eaten many times at the Kerry Vale Vineyard and enjoyed lunches and their amazing afternoon teas for various birthday celebrations over the past few years but todays visit was extremely disappointing. My friend had booked a table for lunch but when we arrived, they seated us at a low coffee table with four large (albeit comfortable) chairs which would have made eating lunch extremely difficult having to learn far forward to eat and one member of the party not even having a full place setting available in front of her. We asked the server if we could be moved, suggesting that maybe we could have two single tables at the back of the restaurant moved together for the three of us. The server went off to ask someone and eventually came back to say “no, we can’t move tables” with no explanation as to why this was not an available option. We did question this and got the same response “no”. We chose to leave the restaurant rather than being uncomfortable eating - the only other option offered was to wait half an hour and they would open the upstairs seating area.
I am still miffed that two tables couldn’t be moved together and that we experienced such poor customer service from a place that we’ve enjoyed in the past.

Although the setting is pleasant, the food is very disappointing. I paid £12 for a cheese plater which was poor. The garnish was lettuce that was slightly brown, a few miniscule bits of cherry tomato and pepper and celery that definitely wasn't fresh. There was 4 crackers which pretty ordinary and there were 3 cheeses included, one which tasted absolutely horrible. The bitter aftertaste was extremely unpleasant. Tiny silverskin pickles that were with it were cheap and nasty. I've never seen a cheese platter with these type of pickles, as normally you have proper crunchy pickles which don't cost the earth. I know times are difficult at the moment but surely it you're charging this kind of price, you expect better.
When my friend asked what type of cheese the bitter one was the waitress didn't know. The woman came out of the kitchen and was very condescending and rude saying weren't you told what type of cheese it was, and that it wasn't off, that was how it was meant to be as it was made with hops. Customer service didn't exist here at all.
I did used to like this place, but I'm not sure what has happened to but it's definitely not somewhere I will go again as the food is overpriced, isn't up to scratch and the customer service is poor.

We were given afternoon vouchers for the Kerry Vale Vineyard by a friend and decided to book it for this afternoon. We spent a friendly and relaxing afternoon in wonderful surroundings and the afternoon tea was absolutely delicious. Would love to visit again - soon. Thank you so much.

Wine tasting tour was first class, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host spent time explaining how their wine was produced from vine to wine, bath in a classroom environment and in the vineyard itself. Wine tasting followed with tasting notes and a lesson on how to savour the wine. The best wine tour we have ever been on! The lovely food in the cafe was a bonus, fresh local produce and a chance to have more wine! The vineyard is in an old Roman fort so the history is also of great interest as are the items they have found on the site including an ancient well. The scenery surrounding the vineyard was lovely, and we had a lovely time. We would highly recommend it, but book early, and maybe add on an afternoon tea, they looked delicious!

I bought this for my sisters birthday as something different to do. It was a 2 hour drive from us but was worth it. The tour of the Vineyard was very interesting, and the wine tasting was fun too. The cheese board afterwards was incredible, and was a lovely way to spend a few hours in the Shropshire countryside. All staff there were incredibly friendly and the cakes and coffee in the cafe below were tasty too

I got bought a Virgin wine and cheese tasting experience voucher and visited here recently with my partner. Wow! It completely surpassed my expectations. The tour from the owner was informative, funny and entertaining. He was very engaging and you can tell he has a real passion for wine. The tasting was great fun and informal, the cheese board we had after the tour was exceptional. The staff in the café downstairs were also very friendly and welcoming. I will be definitely recommending the vineyard to friends and family!

My wife and I had the vineyard tour, wine tasting and cheese platter. The tour was informative and interesting, and the guide (the vineyard founder and owner) full of enthusiasm and highly entertaining. The wine tasting covered four wines produced by the vineyard, and was nicely informal and free of pretention. The cheese platter - with a glass of our chosen wine - was excellent, more than enough for a hearty lunch for the two of us. The whole event was brilliant, and comes highly recommended by the aardvark.

PS The cafe attached to the vineyard was also good, with very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone seemed to help out - we were served by the owner!

Easy to go speeding past this vineyard cafe (as we did) so after a quick u-turn we were welcomed in by the friendly staff and decided to stay for lunch. So glad we did! Setting is lovely amidst the vineyard. The cafe building is really nice with a mix of dining table styles and some outside. It also has an upstairs and from the car park size I guess could accommodate quite a few guests. We had the soup of day and a sandwich. The soup was fantastic! Home made and really tasty. I had my eye on a flapjack to finish but couldn't fit anymore in. You can also buy their bottles of wine to take away which did look good, but we were out for a spin on the motorbike so couldn't carry any home.
This will now certainly become our stop off for a lite bite on our trips to Wales.

What a wonderful birthday treat! Had this as a gift for my covid 50th birthday. Vineyard tour, wine tasting and afternoon tea with sparkling wine 😄 very well organised, high quality of everything, the guides knowledge, the vineyard, the room, the food and of course the wine. Thank you so much. Weather was great too so we cycled there and cycled into Montgomery afterwards. Great day out.😄
