The return ticket is 60/- and cable cars are available every 10 mins. There is nothing much to see once you arrive at Pathala Ganga. The water is dirty and stinking. car parking is available near the entrance. The cable car can accommodate 4 people in one cabin. It is open and you can enjoy the view while it goes up and down. The APTDC ferry was not available at the time of our visit.

Pathala Ganga is Holy place and people go there to have holy River Bath. God Mallikarjuna Bath also happens in Pathala Ganga on special days.
Water is not so clean in this, but being holy place I think that should not be the concern. Rope way facility is provided by APTDC from top side near temple area to Down till Pathala Ganga. Frequency of Ropeway is every 10 min and 4 members can be accommodated in one Cabin of Ropeway. This is definitely thrilling experience if you are going first time in Rope way. Other than thrilling I think we can pay that charges to enjoy surrounding Greenery and Dam bird site view .
Bottom side of the pathala ganga there is boating facility available and definitely kids will enjoy this boating

Patalganga is the place on the way near srisailam. Nothing major. Just a place having holy story. Water of river is believed as pure as that of ganga. From road large number of staircases are there to reach river the place called patalganga. However car can reach from side way to river bank.

We took the cable + boat ride ticket (120 Rs) and it was a good one time worth experience. Cable ride was scenic and the boat driver gave a lot of info about Srisailam and its myths for a tip.
If you take cable way, the whole trip including boating can be completed in 2 hours. carry your own food and water. except for usual bhel puri, we could not find any snacks around. This is not a picnic place nor there are any seating places near teh river. Food water and seating is available at cable cars. would suggest physically weak to avoid as some climbing down \ up is required to boating point from cable.
The bathing ghats are not as clean as other places mainly due to its geographical location. Be careful as the ghat is in the dam backwater which would be approx. 300 feet deep during rainy season. We felt there could be more safety measures put in place.

We were just excited by the view of this. Water was clean and good for bathing. But it is really sad that some are using soaps and shampoos here.

No rush in cable car to reach Pathal ganga place. Good scenic view for photography. After cable car step down only if you want to do boating or Akka Mahadevi caves because water in river is dirty; people are bathing with soaps and shampoo too and steep steps tire too much

Enjoyable on a cool day
Adult Ticket is 65 for the rope way to reach pathala ganga
Not recommended on rush days
Queues are large and the rope way can only afford 12 people at once which creates a large queus

It is near to the temple. It is the reservoir of the dam. Water is green is colour hence it is called patal ganga. This is what i could understand from the guide ( he speaks in telugu so couldnt understand much ). There are two options, either go by steps or take rope way operated by APTC.

The tourist spot - Pathala Ganga. This is visited either by walk in around 800 steps or by car on an unlaid road or by rope way. The entrance for this is around 1 km from the temple. We chose to go by the rope car. The place has parking area with ample space. They charge Rs.65 for adult and Rs.45 for children. We can also view the Srisailam Dam from this place. The rope car takes us to the banks of river Krishna - water stored as part of the Srisailam dam. This is called as Pathala Ganga. The rope car charge is two way. There is a facility for Boat riding, either you can take a combo ticket (Ropeway + Boating) or you can take boat riding once you reach Pathalaganga. Rope way was readily available - no waiting time when we went. We spent around 20 mins at the banks of Krishna river sighting the dam.

The place is about 1500 feet below, and nice steps are laid to walk down. When you reach down, you feel like having a dip in the water and freshen yourself.
Lot of devotees take bath in Pathala Ganga and feel blessed. You will see lot of eateries on both side of the steps, cheep and delicious.
