Le vestigia del vecchissimo castello dei Conti di Manzano sono sulla sommità di un avancorpo del colle della Sdricca. Ci si arriva dal cimitero di Manzano e volendo si prosegue per un sentiero didattico naturalistico che porta costeggiando il colle alla Casa Forte della Sdricca che costituiva un presidio dello stesso maniero di Manzano. A poche centinaia di metri dal Castello salendo per il sentiero ci si imbatte su una Colonna installata oltre un secolo fa in ricordo del caro amore perduto.
La visita ai ruderi del Castelllo non è motivata per assenza di lettura dell'impiantato del castro demolito dalla Repubblica di Venezia nel 1404, se non per la breve passeggiata alla vicina colonna la cui sottile dicitura può essere di invito romantico specialmente per innamorati; essa recita :

Finalmente, dopo tanti anni , il Castello di Manzano è tornato alla vista dei cittadini Manzanesi. Sapientemente illuminato, è un monumento di storia, anche se rudere, ha il suo fascino. Sono stati ritrovati reperti importanti e chissà cosa ci nasconde al suo interno è dintorni. Bello

sono state recise tutte le piante antiche,autoctone e caratteristiche per lasciare spazio a ..... ? un terrazzamento incolto e trascurato come tutto il luogo. peccato :(

В средневековье замок был величественным и мощно укрепленным, сейчас только остатки прежней роскоши.
Руины замка на вершине холма с видом на реку, на западной стороне ряд искусственных террас; на южной - естественным скалы.
Все, что осталось - толстые стены из квадратных каменных блоков.

i resti dell'antico castello medievale di manzano si riassume solo su un resto di un muro su di una collina sulle sponde del fiume Natisone - meriterebbe la sua valorizzazione nella ricostruzione che segnerebbe la storia delle lotte tra i veneziani -goriziani e cividalesi
