I have decided to write in English because the exquisite owners of Ronchi di Sant'Egidio deserve a broader exposure to international customers. Everything is absolutely wonderful: first and foremost, the hospitality and the kindness of the family who own the place, who bend backwards to make their guests feel at home. Then, the location, on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards, from where you can see the Alps and the Adriatic see, on a clear day. The stone buildings are very ancient, their renovation has been completed with absolute respect of the original structure and materials. The 5 rooms have different themes, some of them are actually suites with kitchenette, washing machine etc. Check out their website www.ronchisantegidio.it to get a realistic idea. Last but absolutely not least, the food: the restaurant (open from Thursday to Sunday) serves hearty portions of mouth-watering specialties of Friuli (the region where Manzano is situated), accompanied by wines that are produced by the Ronchi di Sant'Egidio vineyard (don't miss the sparkling rose' spumante), at unbeatable prices. Also the breakfast is amazing, at the level of a 4-star hotel (home-made pies, fresh fruit including raspberries, blackberries etc., prosciutto, scrambled eggs, croissants, yogurt etc...). I can't wait to take another vacation at the Ronchi di Sant'Egidio!!!

Booked 4 nights, little difficult to find however just up on the hill you will find this great place.
Our room was spacious (60-70m2) on the second floor.
It is a family runned business were there make their own wines and prepare tastefull dishes in their kitchen. In the neighbourhood their are in 15min driving by car also very good Italian restaurants.
The owners and the whole family are really friendly. Our lack of italian language wasn't a big problem. However some Italian words will surely help. Highly recommended!

Take a few day trip to Friulli region, with great wine and amazing old house with great food. Great atmosphere among wineyards away from huste and bustle. Enjoy great wine and food. And when they finish the pool...😄
