Sunday afternoon visit...
Aug 2017
Mid summer holidays and our son was getting bored due to the weather being wet, so we opted for a couple of hours at the Bowl Factory to do something different. Parking is easy with plenty of space (either at the front or the rear car parks). We didn't book, we just checked-in at the desk to see if there was any lanes free. Although most people book (and it is advisable to do so if you want to be sure of a space), we got lucky and had a 25 minute wait till our lane became free. It cost €27 for 2 adults and one child, which included two games. Once we'd selected our shoes, which come in all sizes but you have to hunt to find the right size for everyone (they have a rotating shoe rack). After this we went to get a drink at the bar but were told that they would come to our lane once we had started our game, so we were a little bit stuck for 25 minutes. Once our lane became free, which required some subtle 'please move' hints to the ladies who decided to sit and chat after their game finished. Once we got the game started it all fell into place and we ordered three drinks and a tray of Nachos with dips (quiet large). They have a good selection of bowling ball sizes to suit all ages, plus they have the kids bowling frames to help young children who may find it difficult at first. The lanes are well maintained (they were actually replacing a couple of the floors during our visit), with the option to have side bars raised for players who need a little extra help. The scoring system is digital and your names are programmed when you check-in so it's easy to follow who's go it is. We spent a couple of hours there and had a fun time, our son really enjoyed himself even though he didn't win against Mum & Dad. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have some bowling fun with friends, family etc (they also cater birthday parties, a kids one was in the lane next to ours). If you want food then there is a restaurant upstairs which is an American Tex-Mex style (although we haven't tried it yet).

I went here on a large work event (30 plus people). The lanes were already set up and programmed in with our names. There were a few minor issues getting our lane going, but staff were quick to fix it.

They took drinks orders where we bowled, and brought the drinks over to us.

The bowling software seemed a little dated (compared to other places I've been to in the UK), but it all worked.

The Shoe Stairs is an interesting and novel way to get your bowling shoes, but could do with a bit of oil!

Good fun.

The Bowl Factory is clean and modern, and we find it handy that you can reserve online. On the downside, the staff is invisible at best, or grumpy at worst. Bowling shoes are self-service and the kids' sizes are all falling apart. The music is too loud (we were there on a Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 PM) to have a conversation, and the lights are too dark to take any photos. Of all the bowling alleys in the Brussels area, we prefer Bowling Stones in Wemmel.

Love this funky factory-themed bowling joint. There ar emany lanes and discounts on Mondays and Tuesdays, the downside is that you can’t book online for those days but otherwise the website works well. Shoes are included in the price and there’s a large variets of bowling balls. Drinks can be ordered while bowling. The music is normally quite load and there’s a small are with video games, table soccer, air hockey etc. Upstairs is a separate restaurant, Wood Wayne.

Visited on a team bonding exercise. Hadn't bowled for years but a lot of fun. Regular bowling alley with drinks brought to you from the bar.

We came to celebrate a birthday. Nice bowling. Inexpensive compared to those in Brussels. Nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the evening!
