Beautiful coast and views
Oct 2021 • Couples
An beautiful part of the coastline. A rugged path. Be warned it is not to be taken lightly, also don't follow the sat-nav or you could end up in a farmer's yard having to turn around (sorry farmer!).

Best aim for Pwllderi and park in the lay-by not far from the YHA accommodation. Walk down to the YHA and take the coastal from there.

Probably took about 1.5-2 hours to reach the cove before the lighthouse before we headed back (there are probably circular walks with a bit of research).

We were able to see seals and pups below in some of the coves (take binoculars!), blue/green sea, stunning landscape.

Well worth a visit!

Sep 2021
I am biased, but some of the nicest views on the planet are at Strumble Head. It is a magical place.

Go for the views
Sep 2021 • Couples
Lovely views when sun shines and the colours of the sea and sky are worth the drive. To reach it you drive down some very narrow, windy roads but with passing places.

Sightseeing Strumble Head
May 2021 • Couples
Glorious. Lighthouse inaccessible but views something else. Goodwick Hill and signed from there. SatNav SA64 0JL and keep going to the end. Part double, part single track and windy in parts. Some lovely houses and cottages en route. Unable to find loos at the venue. Limited parking. Noted waypoint as a VOR for transatlantic flights. Noted venue for birdwatching.

Spectacular
Apr 2021 • Couples
We visited this in our small motor home. While it was possible it was very difficult to turn around for return journey so I would advise against it & would walk there in future along coastal path. Scenery was stunning. Wildflowers really pretty. Sadly it was a little quiet for birds on the day we visited apart from seagulls. Hoped to see Gannets. We will return later in the year.

Changing views and great scenery, medium difficulty
Sep 2020
We stayed for a week in the Strumble Head area, which offers superb coastal walking. Because it is a headland the views alter with the points of the compass; we often saw seals with their pups on the beaches below. I would describe the coastal path here as medium difficulty; there are certainly a few steep patches, but fine if you are reasonably physically fit.

Lighthouse in action
Aug 2020
If you visit one lighthouse in Pembrokeshire, the Strumble Head one is well worth locating, can be busy but don't let that put you off as you drive off the edge of the world, great place for a walk and stunning vistas with the lighthouse.

Beautiful place but can be very busy.
Sep 2020
This is a beautiful place to visit the rugged coast of Wales. We used to come here 40 years ago and it was very quiet then but it now gets very busy and the car park (free) fills up very quickly. We noticed that there were lots of smashed bottles around which is a shame and is very dangerous to the dogs and children that are around which is a shame.
There are many walks from here and the views/scenery is amazing. Well worth a visit still.

Saw some seals
Sep 2020
Really lovely afternoon walking and watch seals. Easy to park at the bottom and there is a costal path that went further than we could walk. Lots of lovely wildlife to see.
