Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

We had 2 weeks at Nonsuch and kited every day except one. My son (14) and daughter (17) and me had several lessons and a few days with assisted riding or just a boat lift to Green Island. The location is amazing and while you have to get a boat across to the island it means the spot is nearly... More

I highly recommend Nonsuch Bay and 40 Knots Kitesurf School. I stayed at Nonsuch bay for 2 weeks over end June/ Start of July and used 40 knots boat service to get to kite on Green Island daily, the location is absolutely stunning, winds consistently 14-20 knots most days at this time, the first few days was I lucky enough... I had lots of fun and in 4 days managed to learn how to kitesurf :) The instructors are great and there is a boat to take you upwind if you drift down too much.

My daughter and I completed 3 days with 40Knots. Susi, Johann and the team were spectacular instructors and really went out of their way to make the experience special for us. We completed our sessions this week and I have a few things I feel are good things to know for anyone who is like I was a month ago... More

I am new to kitesurfing and had some fear about the whole thing. I honestly can't imagine a better school and location for learning this awesome sport. I did a half day lesson with my 11 year old son and husband, followed by two private lessons. The location is perfect, with little boat traffic, clear water, and consistent wind. I... More

I arrived in Antigua for a week's vacation with the intention of improving my kite surfing skills. The next day the family and I dropped by 40Knots and met Chris and Suzy. They were extremely cool and helpful! :) For the rest of the trip my son and I took lessons. The results were outstanding. My kiting skills improved dramatically.... More

We recently returned from a family kite trip and were reminded about how special the 40 Knots experience is. Max and Irene started this school many years ago and have developed it with great care. Their kite associates are topnotch, friendly, encouraging, knowledgeable and effective. In a world of teachers over representing kite teaching credentials, these guys stand out as... More

We came with friends and learnt paddle boarding, they took us to green island which is 1.5 miles away and then the instructor shows you how to paddle board back, it was great fun but tiring... Good value for money...

I had two half day lessons and by the end of it I was totally independent and could go out on my own with confidence. The guys at 40knots are very friendly, accommodating and are great instructors. Learning from a boat rather than starting at the beach is the way to go. It is far safer and more fun as... More
