On Sunday 31th of October 2021, we visited the arts&crafts exhibition in the casino 2000/chapito.
It was a very pleasant experience.
Plenty of very special creations to be admired and you could also buy your "coup de coeur".
Friendly and polite staff at the entrance.
Covidcheck event which made us feel safe (wearing a facemask wasn't mandatory after you had shown your sanitary pass/QRcode)
The casino is not only for gambling but offers also quality entertainment.
It was a very pleasant experience.

Casino 2000 is a modern European Casino located in the heart of the little spa town of Mondorf. It has a small gaming room and about a hundred slot machines. The attached hotel is small but offers elegant modern accommodations. The Casino has one elegant restaurant and a more casual grill. It has an entertainment venue and some meeting rooms. They offer regular dance-club entertainment in the grill and occasionally host balls or featured entertainment in the larger venue. In 2010 it was undergoing a major rennovation that should significantly expand its size. If you like gambling, this is probably a good choice. If you are seeking modern hotel accommodations in Mondorf this is also a good choice. If you are seeking good meals, Casino 2000 is on par with some of the other nice establishments in Mondorf.

Connex to Thermal Domaine by car, good deal ! The games - casino hall is near the central entry, only entry above 18 y, a lot of drinks in the casino bars. Good combination.

The Casino - I am talking of the casino floor with the games- is horrible! This does not count for the Restaurants that unfortunately are associated to the casino.
I was shocked: No dresscode at all, you may as well wear your oldest pair of jeans and the croupier greets the petty criminal that just entered with a high-five! No joke! I did not feel at ease at all and left as quickly as possible.

I've stayed in many hotels and whilst the rooms are dated and the décor not to my taste it was clean and well kept. the real disappointment was the level of service . Reception was rude , that's the only way to describe it ( PUT DOWN YOUR SMART PHONES!!!) . i waited patiently to grab the attention and was met with a begrudging reluctance to check me in. I had to repeat myself several times . Breakfast also took a leaf out of receptions book.
Word of advice for management - people who stay at hotels are guests and pay for the privilege - there are always alternatives so stop treating guests like an annoyance

I had only passed by the game room and directly to the restaurant, so this is only for the restaurant.Food is AWESOME. you can find really good French cuisine here. it's a buffet and the decorations are really elegant. the dessert is fantastic.

We stayed in the hotel which is located upstairs. After a long drive, we needed a place to sleep and meal to have. The hotel was perfect, the Casino I am not sure.
There are two restaurants in this Casino. We were dressed casual and we could not attend the buffet. We choice the other one. The food was average, the drinks were overpriced and quality was average.
If you are there for gaming, then it is ok to have a meal there. I would not go there for a meal on its own.

If you expect nothing , you will not be disappointed ! Otherwise you will leave very quickly !
This place has nothing to do with real casinos you might experience elsewhere :Poor architecture , poor entertainment , food below standard ,...
Very sad moment spent there...very disappointing considering that Luxembourg is one of the richest countries in the world !

The room for the coin machines are open from 10.00 am and the rooms for roulette etc from 19.00. It closes at 03.00 or 04.00 am. As there is also a hotel I would imagine there is an ATM and the possibility to change currency, but I'm not sure. Certainly there are ATM facilities within a 5 minute walk.
